Although this teepee pattern is suitable for chevron fabrics and directional prints, it can be used for ANY fabric because it uses a facing to create the door panels. 

PLEASE NOTE: This pattern is given to you in DIMENSIONS! You will not be taping a bunch of paper together to create pattern pieces. You will be responsible for using your yardstick and chalk to draw straight line trapezoids onto your fabric. This is not at all difficult, and complete instructions and drawings are supplied in the pattern. However, if you need or want a pattern with pattern pieces, this is NOT the pattern for you.

This pattern creates a teepee that is 50" wide by 50" deep at the base. It uses 6 foot wooden poles, and it is 5 feet tall when it is assembled. This is an easy to sew teepee that is completely portable and easy to set up and take down when it is completed. Great for the bedroom, yard, beach, play room, anywhere!

You will need a pdf reader installed on your computer or device in order to view and print this pattern. If you don't have one, you can safely and easily install one for free at adobe.com.

YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING SUPPLIES:
4-6 1/2 yards home decor fabric, twill or canvas, 54"-56". Directional or non-directional fabrics are fine. (The yardage and fabric width depends on how the pattern runs along the selvages. Complete information is provided in the pattern).
Yardstick, chalk or disappearing marker
Thread
Scissors
2-5/8" buttons or 3 yards 1" grosgrain ribbon
Wooden poles, dowels or PVC poles (measurements are supplied in pattern)
Leather lacing or other tie
Sewing machine

Another note: Don't worry about matching fabric patterns! It is virtually impossible to match patterns other than stripes or other straight lined fabric patterns when you are making a teepee. The patterns do NOT need to be matched at the seams.
