  • From the Cordyline plant family of which there are many varieties you’ll find also Cordyline Fruticosa (Kor-di-LY-nee Froo-tih-KOH-suh), and a sport named Cordyline Red Sister. It is an evergreen plant with stunning foliage, which makes a bold statement in any garden.

  • Red Sister plants (Cordyline fruticosa "Red Sister") are a variety of evergreen tropical shrub that belongs to the lily family. Also known as the ti plant or the Hawaiian good luck plant, the many varieties of cordylines are prized for their foliage.

  • The Red Sister plants are cultivated for their dense, leathery leaves. They are not invasive, can be grown outside in extremely warm climates and are grown as houseplants in cooler areas. The leaves range from pink through deep burgundy, depending on growing conditions and light received.

  • Choose a location in bright light, but avoid planting your Red Sister in full sun, as the leaves may burn. An eastern or southern exposure is optimal, but semi-shade is acceptable. The more light, the more colorful the foliage will be.

  • Check regularly for pests such as spider mites, scales or mealybugs, and treat by spraying the upper and lower leaf surfaces with insecticidal soap according to label directions. Check for signs of leaf spot and blight diseases, and treat with a natural fungicide, such as liquid copper or neem oil, according to label directions. Spray plants only in the early morning or evening hours, when it's cooler, to avoid burning the leaves.

Simple, Straightforward and Concise - Ideal for Beginners!
Format: Kindle
Written by Sophie Merle, The Book of Tapping: Emotional Acupressure with EFT is a short, concise and simple but straightforward guide to Tapping. What I liked best about this book is that - it is very easy to understand, making it possible for anyone and everyone to explore EFT. Since this is a very short book, I understand that not much is covered, just the basics predominantly, but if you are looking for an introduction to EFT Tapping and uncomplicated explanations and ideas, this is a book you can check out! **I was offered an eARC by Healing Arts Press through Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.

An excellent basic text for anyone interested in learning the EFT system.
Format: Paperback
Over the years I have read a several books on the healing art of tapping and I must say this 106 page soft cover volume (The book of Tapping: Emotional acupressure with EFT by Sophie Merle) is one of the best I have read lately. The step-by-step lessons are easy to follow and everything is explained in a clear and concise way. This book is organized into ten sections covering the following material: EFT: an energetic technique for health and material abundance, the EFT protocol, working with EFT, a collection of painful statements, the body’s meridians and their emotional function, the various ways EFT can be applied, EFT and the realization of goals, group sessions, two EFT variations and a conclusion. If you are seeking a good basic introduction to the EFT system you may want to check out this excellent book. Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Chair/Seated Tai Chi, Qigong and Yoga stretching for seniors and the physically challenged).
