While conventional fabric pots are breathable, the substrate dries out too quickly around the edges. As a result, the roots cannot access this area. A large portion of the pot's volume is lost. The uneven drying of the substrate also has a negative impact on soil life and thus on nutrient availability and plant health.

Thanks to the innovative Moisture Lock technology, the substrate retains moisture even at the edges, thus increasing its effective volume. This promotes high microbial activity and thus strong root growth and higher yields. Ventilation is ensured by a wide, breathable strip in the bottom of the pot. This allows the substrate to dry from top to bottom, just like in nature.

Grassroots fabric pots and their beds are made of very stable, durable material, can be washed and are foldable and therefore easy to store.

Another innovation from Grassroots is their bottomless pots . They allow for pre-growing plants without repotting. As the name suggests, these fabric pots have no bottom and can simply be placed on the bed. The plant quickly establishes roots in the bed. This minimizes disruption to soil life and eliminates "repotting shock," allowing for consistently high growth rates and saving 1-2 weeks of time.
