DESCRIPTION: These are select clones from a crop of ionantha rubra that we cultivated due to their super soft leaves and symmetrical growing form. This is exclusively offered on Bulk Air Plants for wholesale. Ionantha Rubra is a species of plant in the genus Tillandsia. Ionantha Rubra differentiates itself from Ionantha Guatemala with its more succulent leaves and thicker base. Ionantha Rubra also tend to turn a deeper red when in bloom. This species is native to Central America and Mexico. Tillandsia ionantha was described by Jules Emile Planchon and published in Flore des Serres et des Jardins de l'Europe between 1854 - 1855. In nature, Tillandsia ionantha has been found growing in both xeric and mesic tropical habitats. This makes the species very beginner friendly as it tolerates a wide range of light and watering routines.

They always enjoy pulling it out and now I can refer back to the characters to remind them of their manners in a more positive way. The only thing is I kinda wish they had used a different animal than pig, since for some reason I don't like saying "don't be like the pigs" (since I don't really want them calling eachother or other kids pigs). But so far it has been fine :) It's also very nice they included "Be kind to animals, they have feelings too." We say that all the time around here since we have kitties. Also the part about table manners is great since we had already been teaching the kids to ask before being excused from the table.
