The all-new DD Recycled - Tarp 3 maintains the same level of stormproofing and protection as our time-tested DD Tarp range. However, to increase sustainability and help to keep single-use plastics out of our environment, the main material body is made from approximately 258 recyled plastic bottles. DD Hammocks plan to expand this range of recycled tarps and recycled hammocks in the near future.
Stormproof and versatile
At a size of 3m x 2.9m, this tarp is perfectly sized for a huge range of uses. 19 strong attachment points (16 round the edges/corners, 3 across the ridge-line) provide ample opportunity for you to set up the tarp either as a shelter above one of our standard-sized hammocks, or in as many ways as you can imagine as a ground shelter.
Full seam-taping and a 3,000mm waterproof-rated PU coating across the whole tarp provides the weatherproofing, so you can be assured that even in truly torrential downpours you can relax with your gear whilst remaining safe and dry underneath your tarp.
For the coverage on offer, this tarp packs down small and keeps your pack weight light, so there is no end to where you can take it. Multi-day hike, bikepacking trip or a simple forest camp nearby - make sure you do not leave home without it!
Please note: You may notice that the DD Recycled - Tarp 3 does cost a little more when compared to the DD Tarp 3x3. Manufacturing recycled products does add extra costs, and DD Hammocks are simply charging the extra small amount to cover this.
All DD Tarps are 100% waterproof, even in the heaviest storms.

Snapped perfectly into place. Zero play with the fit and hood hinge still just as accessible as oe grille. No trimming required. If you’re sick of snapping your grille back in every time you lift the hood, buy it!
I also have the colored grill inserts and they snap on perfectly with no play.

Fit is perfect and these have a very nice glossy finish

Fit is perfect and these have a very nice glossy finish, which looks much better than the matte finish. As others have said, the driver's side grill lacks a cut out where the hood latch pull handle swings out when you need to lift the hood (compare the driver's side grill with the existing grill to see location and size of the cut out). I was able to cut an opening within 10 minutes and I haven't had any problems opening the hood since the installation.

Nice Finish, Decent Fit

The fitment isn't perfect like the OEM grilles, but overall I was satisfied. These are just slightly smaller than the originals so there is a little play once installed. No need to modify the LH side grille for clearance to the hood latch though as other reviews mention. It looks like the design has been revised to address that problem. I was impressed with the paint finish and there weren't any noticeable blemishes like dust or dirt in the paint. These are probably the best and cheapest gloss black kidney grilles for E46 that are currently available. OEM grilles w/ gloss black are basically discontinued so we're all stuck with aftermarket if you want the gloss black shadowline look.

Awful fitment, poor quality
Size: 2002-2005 E46
Although not oem quality was expected, but I never thought to throw them away either. Grills look very nice, outside quality is good. Unfortunately the grills do not fit to its place and slip just after you close the hood. After several tries to make them stay in place I have broken 2 clamps. Finally I have removed these grills and went on with OEM ones.
Also, pay attention that you must drill a space for hood lock on the inner side (driver side grill does not have the factory space for hood lock handle).
