3-4 person hardshell rooftop tent. Maximum space for families and groups.

The iKamper Skycamp 4.0 Quad is the largest tent in the Skycamp 4.0 lineup, built for families, couples who want maximum space, and anyone who does not want to compromise on room. At 84 5/8" x 83 1/8" of sleeping area, the Quad gives 3-4 people a genuine sleeping platform that feels more like a bedroom than a tent. It fits mid-size SUVs, full-size SUVs, full-size trucks, and vans. Same 60-second setup as the Duo and Trio: unlatch, push open, done. Same DuraCore shell, BreathWeave canvas, and ThermaSeal cork floor that define the entire 4.0 generation. If you need the most space a hardshell rooftop tent can give you, this is it.

Sets Up in Seconds

Unlatch the shell, push it open, and the gas struts do the rest. Your tent is fully deployed and ready to sleep in before you finish unpacking your cooler. No poles to thread. No rainfly to wrestle. No guy lines to stake. When it is time to leave, pull it closed, latch it, and drive. The Skycamp's simple fold-out design makes setup fast and intuitive, so you can spend less time wrestling with camp and more time enjoying it.

Sleep Like You Are at Home

The Skycamp 4.0 Quad ships with a foam mattress (12 lbs) that stays inside the tent when you close it. No inflating, no rolling, no stuffing it into a bag every morning. An optional RTT Comfort LT mattress (17 lbs) is also available with a 3-inch open-cell foam and air combination for upgraded pressure relief and insulation. The mattress sits on iKamper's ThermaSeal floor system: durable, insulating honeycomb aluminum panels with a layer of cork on top for warmth and sound dampening. Leave your sleeping bags and pillows inside when you pack up.

Premium Materials That Perform

Built with breathable, waterproof BreathWeave canvas (320gsm poly-cotton, recycled poly 35% / cotton 65% blackout canvas), a fiber-reinforced DuraCore shell, and cork-topped ThermaSeal flooring for comfort, protection, and all-season performance. The rainfly uses waterproof 90gsm recycled polyester 75D Rip-Stop with weather resistant DWR coating. Every material was chosen for durability in real-world conditions, not just marketing specs.

Field-Tested Across Every Terrain

iKamper conducted over 2,175 miles (3,500 km) of driving tests across various environments, including highways and unpaved roads, during the development of the Skycamp Series. Skycamps have since been part of countless customer journeys around the world, proving their reliability across deserts, mountains, forests, and coastlines. The 4.0 is not a concept. It is a tent refined through thousands of real miles on real rigs in real conditions.

Steady in Every Storm

The Skycamp 4.0 was tested against winds up to 35 mph (48 km/h) from all directions. The results confirmed that the tent and its components stayed secure, with no issues in stability or structure. Rigorous water spray tests showed no leaks, ensuring the tent remains watertight even under intense conditions. The DuraCore double-layered FRP shell handles rain, wind, UV exposure, and temperature extremes. The HVAC pass-through lets you run a heater duct into the tent without cracking a window.

What Changed in the Skycamp 4.0

The 4.0 is not a minor refresh. iKamper redesigned the shell profile, upgraded the materials, and added features that previously only existed on their premium DLX model. The Quad replaces the original Skycamp 3.0 as the full-size option in the lineup.

DuraCore FRP Shell: Double-layered fiber-reinforced plastic that resists cracking, warping, and UV exposure. The dual layers create built-in air insulation, making it quieter and more condensation resistant than single-layer shells.

BreathWeave Canvas: 320gsm poly-cotton (recycled poly 35% / cotton 65%) blackout canvas. Manages moisture through breathability rather than heavy waterproof coatings. Better airflow, lower condensation risk, and four-season protection.

ThermaSeal Cork Floor: Durable, insulating honeycomb aluminum panels with a layer of cork. Previously a DLX-only feature, now standard on every 4.0.

Integrated LED Lighting: Dimmable White, Amber, and Red modes (DC 5V). Red mode preserves night vision at camp.

Power and HVAC Pass-throughs: Purpose-built ports for running a heater duct or electrical cable into the tent without leaving a window cracked open.

Larger Doors and Windows: Updated interior geometry creates a more open, usable feel inside the tent while improving airflow, visibility, and ease of entry.

Vehicle Compatibility

The Skycamp 4.0 Quad is the largest Skycamp and requires a vehicle with a robust roof or bed rack setup. The Quad is designed for mid-size SUVs, full-size SUVs, full-size trucks, and vans.

The Quad is the full-size option for families and groups who need maximum sleeping area. At 84 5/8" x 83 1/8", it is nearly square, giving everyone room to sleep comfortably. The tradeoff is weight (157 lbs) and the 185 lb minimum dynamic load requirement, which means you need a robust rack or crossbar setup. The Quad also has 1.5" more headroom when open (48" vs 46 1/2") compared to the Duo and Trio.

Pros

  • Largest sleeping area in the Skycamp 4.0 lineup at 84 5/8" x 83 1/8", true room for 3-4 people
  • 48" open height gives 1.5" more headroom than the Duo and Trio
  • 60-second setup and teardown with gas struts, no poles or rainfly
  • ThermaSeal cork floor, integrated LED (White/Amber/Red), and HVAC pass-throughs now standard
  • BreathWeave 320gsm blackout canvas manages condensation better than synthetic fabrics

Cons

  • Premium pricing. If budget is a concern, browse RTTs under $1,500
  • At 157 lbs (tent + brackets), it requires a rack with at least 185 lbs dynamic load rating, limiting it to larger vehicles

Frequently Asked Questions

What rack do I need for the Skycamp 4.0 Quad?

You need crossbars or a rack with a minimum dynamic load rating of 185 lbs and crossbar spacing between 30" and 60" apart. The Quad uses iKamper's Mounting Brackets 3.0, a universal mounting system that fits most crossbars from Prinsu, Front Runner, Thule, Yakima, Rhino-Rack, and others. The 185 lb requirement is higher than the Duo (140 lbs) and Trio (155 lbs), so verify your rack's dynamic load rating before purchasing. Call us and we will help you confirm compatibility.

Can I leave my bedding inside when the tent is closed?

Yes. The Skycamp 4.0 is designed with space to store sleeping bags and pillows inside when closed. The refined shell design allows for significantly more bedding storage than previous generations. Push your bedding toward the hinge side before closing. The optional air mattress fully deflates for even more storage room.

How does the Skycamp 4.0 Quad compare to the old 3.0?

The Quad replaces the standard Skycamp 3.0 as the full-size option. Key upgrades include the DuraCore double-layer shell, BreathWeave 320gsm blackout canvas, ThermaSeal cork floor (previously DLX-only), integrated LED lighting (White/Amber/Red), power and HVAC pass-throughs, and larger doors and windows. The Quad is slightly heavier than the 3.0 (157 lbs vs approximately 163 lbs for the 3.0 with all hardware) due to the cork floor, LED system, and pass-through hardware.

Is the Skycamp 4.0 Quad good for winter camping?

Yes. The Skycamp 4.0 Quad is rated for 4-season use with protection from rain, wind, and UV exposure. The DuraCore double-layer shell provides built-in air insulation. The ThermaSeal cork floor insulates against cold from below. The BreathWeave canvas manages condensation while staying waterproof. The HVAC pass-through lets you run a heater duct into the tent without cracking a window. For serious cold weather camping, pair with a quality sleeping bag rated for your expected low temperatures.

5 month review- still a favorite!
Color: White, Color: White
I purchased this steam mop 5 months ago and it is still one of my favorite purchases. I have used it every week 1-2 times per week and it still works great! My house has wood flooring throughout, two cats and a lot of traction. I can finally relax knowing my floors are clean and sanitized! It heats up very quickly and the cord is long enough to do large sections of floor at a time. I highly recommend this purchase! Especially if you have pets or kids.

I spent the $20 I saved on stuff to make this thing functional-ish
Color: White
The only reason this is getting three stars is because I do like the ability to shut off the steam and also it puts out the perfect amount of water and cleans well. For the bad, the design is terrible in four important ways as mentioned in other reviews (which I wish I had read before purchase so my fault). 1. This thing will not stand in its own unless in a very particular position and even then a slight gust of wind sends it toppling. 2. The one hook cord storage has to be the stupidest design I have ever seen. I did buy a command hook so I could wind the cord so that takes care of that issue (other than no notch to secure the plug to the cord). 3. The cord is not long enough but again I remedied this with a 6ft extension cord though I’m sure this is probably not recommended somewhere in the instructions so I take my own risk. 4. I did not like the pad included but have a ton from my old Shark steam mop (RIP) and they work well enough with this mop so it’s not completely useless. I would not recommend this mop to anyone. It is a bit cheaper than the Shark mop I was looking to replace but wish I wouldn’t have let my cheap side win and it’s spent the extra $20 to get a mop I know I like.

Quality Knives At A Bargain Price
Size: Steel King 15Pcs 10.4"×7"×15.4"
I have had these knives for almost 18 months now and they have held up great Edge retention is fantastic, and as long as you treat them right and don't leave dried tomato sauce on them for 5 days, no rust to speak of or even any discoloring! The build is fantastic and they are well balanced. I still can't believe I got this set for the price I did. I have a collection of pocket knives, I own Japanese wet stones to sharpen and understand what 8cr13mov, s30V and 14c28n is in knife production. (It's metal alloys BTW.) Having said that, I was a bit picky in finding a knife set that was quality built, had good steel and didn't cost $800. I honestly don't know how they are producing this set and not losing their shirts. Full tang design (One piece of steel from tip through the handle to the butt), and has nice glass fiber reinforced polymer handle material. I can't find any reference to this set in particular for what steel is used, but based on using various steel through the years I have a pretty good idea what this probably is. (BTW, I hate to break to you. At this price, it's absolutely NOT German steel...and that's okay anyway.) Brodark references Japanese VG10 steel with their other stand alone chef knives. It is common in the Chinese knife industry to copy an alloy alloy and call it by it's original name. It's NOT Japanese steel. What is commonly referred to as VG10 is 10cr15mov or 8cr15mov. Both are fine steel to use for a "general purpose" knife and perform similar to Japanese VG10, or even US made 440c stainless...perhaps even a little better than 440c. The steel in these knives is pretty dang hard, which makes me think it is 10cr15mov. The 10 is the Chromium content in the alloy. More chromium, more hard, more hard ='s more brittle. There is a balance of how hard without being brittle. Some knife makers use super hard steel to get a wicked sharp edge that holds for a while...buuuut then after a year of use you see all the chips along the edge or perhaps even a tip has snapped off. That's hard, brittle steel. You can't fix chips unless you grind them down and create a totally new edge on the knife and start over. These Brodark knives find a nice balance of hardness for edge retention but enough give to not chip or break off under general use. Like I said, almost 1.5 years of use and no chips, bends, or scratches. I still can't believe I paid around $50 for them. Incredible.

Wow! Amazing knives, regardless of the cost
Size: Steel King 15Pcs 10.4"×7"×15.4"
I don’t know how they do it for the price These knives are amazing, and I got them on sale for well less than a Benjamin The package with the block and the knives in it was so heavy, that I needed someone to help me get it out of the inner box. The knives are beautiful, heavy, well balanced. I can vouch, that they are sharp AF, because I cut myself twice unpacking them 😂😂😂 No fault to the manufacturer; they were very well packed. I am just a klutz First time I used them, straight out of the box with only a soapy bath before, was on a tomato and cucumber. I only have the use of one arm, and usually have to get an adaptive cutting board to secure my fruit/veges before I can start cutting them. But these knives were so heavy and so sharp, I didn’t need to do that It cut through the tomato skin like water The hardwood block looks beautiful on my countertop These are beautiful knives on their own. When you throw in how incredibly inexpensive they are… Buy them now. Highly recommended.
