A germanium/silicon hybrid fuzz transistor allows you to shift anywhere between a dirty, organic overdrive to a chainsaw-like fuzz, all while featuring a natural and harmonic sustain that's more reminiscent of an overdriven amp than a Big Muff. It has a simple four-control design to maximize its versatility, including Tone, Shift, Level, and Fuzz. Tone affects the bass/treble - turn it left and you get more bass; to the right, more treble.

Shift is the so-called secret weapon of the pedal by changing the frequency response of the tone control, so you get more scooped mids when turned clockwise, and more cutting mids when rolled counterclockwise. Level adjusts the overall volume output, and Fuzz adds more or less distortion to the signal.
