The MG-30 features a brushed metal casing and black knobs for a professional look. It also features a four-inch color LCD and three footswitches. The addition of a Signal Block button for quick effects selection and an Effect Loop function further enhances the MG-30's convenience and expandability. Furthermore, Aux In and headphone outputs make it a practical tool for everyday practice.

The MG-30 offers an effects chain that can simultaneously activate one each of Noise Gate, Dynamics, EFX with built-in voicing and Auto Wah, Amp Simulator, IR, EQ, MOD, Delay, and Reverb. Effects can be freely moved within the chain (except between the amp and IR). MODs and EFX can be swapped between each other as needed, allowing two MODs or EFX effects to be simultaneously active in the signal chain, providing ample freedom within the limited functionality.
