The bottom translates to "The Sun in Winter", alluding to the sun logo behind "Katalyt". The heater is a two-piece set, with the cover coming off when shifted to the left. With the cover and handle upwards, the set measures 11” tall with a 5¾” diameter.
This example was certainly used and has developed a nice patina. Still displays fine with or without the cover. The mesh inside shows burn marks from heavy use. This will fit very well into any German WWII collection or soldier’s tent display. Comes ready for further research and display.
