The sensor mounts in the gear housing on the driver's side. Inspect the connector for oil intrusion before replacing — contaminated connectors mimic sensor failure. Verify resistance (1000–2000 ohms) and check sensor face for cracks. Clear fault codes with INSITE or compatible tool after install.
