  The Philodendron verrucosum is widely considered one of the "crown jewels" of the aroid world. It is a show-stopping climber that transforms any indoor space into a lush, prehistoric-looking jungle. While it requires a bit more attention than your average houseplant, its velvety texture and dramatic colors make it a must-have for serious collectors.
  
  The "Flower" Phenomenon Like most Philodendrons, the Verrucosum produces a spathe and spadix (a hooded structure). However, it rarely blooms indoors.
