Origins
Monstera deliciosa is native to the tropical rainforests of southern Mexico and Central America, where it grows as a hemiepiphyte, beginning on the forest floor and climbing into the canopy. The Thai Constellation lineage was developed through tissue culture in Thailand, and 'Creme Brulee' is a further selection distinguished by the golden-cream tone of its variegation. 

Soil and Substrate
As a hemiepiphyte with reduced chlorophyll in the variegated tissue, 'Creme Brulee' benefits from a well-aerated, well-draining substrate and brighter conditions than the all-green species.
