Dark purple (or sometimes pink) flowers bloom from late spring to early summer and are uniquely shaped like little pineapples with colorful "rabbit ears" (sterile bracts) protruding from the tops. Can be used as an annual garden plant or grown in containers and overwintered indoors in a cool, dry, bright environment - avoid overwatering. 1.5-2'H x 1.5-2'W. USDA Zones 8-11.

I’m not sure why the promotional photos show these hooks with the bent ends pointing down. To me that makes no sense, as it seems they are using them upside down. It makes more sense to me to have the bent ends point up, so the items being stored do not slide off. Additionally, the shorter bent hooks make no sent to have on the top, as they would limit how far back you could place a shovel or other tool. When using the hooks with the bent ends pointing up, you can place your lighter bulkier items on the long hooks, but then use the short hooks for those heavier items (if they fit), as that gets them closer to the magnets and will have less leverage to make the magnetic hooks fall free from the metal they are trying to be attracted to. In my example photos, you can see how the shorter hooks do not obstruct the shovels and other tools from being stored properly and the bent ends then also help to prevent the tools from sliding off the hook. Overall, I am very happy with the hooks. I’ve had a fondness for magnets since I was a kid, so I have a very realistic expectation of the limits of magnets and these magnetic hooks perform as well as I would expect.
