How to Germinate Bitter Melon Seeds

Bitter melon seeds have a hard seed coat and need warmth to germinate well. For best results, soak seeds in warm water around 60–70°C for 8–12 hours. After soaking, wrap the seeds in a moist paper towel and place them inside a covered container, glass jar, or ziplock bag.

Keep the seeds in a warm, dark place for about 5–7 days, checking regularly to make sure the paper towel stays moist but not soaking wet. Once the seeds begin to sprout, carefully plant them into pots or prepared soil.

Avoid cold, wet soil because it can slow germination or cause seeds to rot.

Planting & Care Tips

Plant after the danger of frost has passed and the weather is consistently warm. Bitter melon grows best in full sun with fertile, well-draining soil. Provide a strong trellis or support, as the vines climb quickly and need good airflow.

Keep soil evenly moist during germination, flowering, and fruiting. Avoid overwatering or soggy soil. A layer of mulch can help retain moisture and keep the root zone stable during hot weather.

Harvesting

Harvest Indian Long Bitter Melon fruits while they are young, green, firm, and tender. Regular picking encourages the vine to continue producing. Older fruits may become more bitter and can turn yellow-orange as they mature.

Important Growing Note

Germination and growth results may vary depending on temperature, moisture, soil, sunlight, and growing conditions. Bitter melon is a warm-season crop and needs steady warmth for best results.

Comfy but don’t expect too much support
Size: 40F, Color: Snow White
Closure was a little stiff until I used it a few times. Fit was as expected; posture back feels good. Underwire isn’t uncomfortable at all. Mesh material is breathable and soft. Doesn’t provide real strong dupport so if that’s what you’re looking for you might be disappointed.

Delimira posture front closing bra
Size: 40DD, Color: Sargasso
This bra is great however there’s room to make it better. There is great back support & coverage of back fat as well as side fat. The strap is thick & comfortable. The strap stays in place also. The front closure is a plus however what does make it uncomfortable is the wire due to the length & the material needs to be thicker or maybe the wire should be some other material. The other part of it being uncomfortable is that the cups run oddly smaller & I sized up so if I go up another size the bra will be too big & not stay in place. This bra with some work could be excellent though.

The perfect bra!
Size: 46F, Color: Black
I love these bras because the back support is amazing allowing for perfect posture. I did need to size up the back as it didn’t have my cup size but is still incredibly comfortable. definitely a must buy!

Not for heavy or big busted women
Size: 42F, Color: Sargasso
I wanted to love this but there are issues. First: does it feel good around the back? YES! Second: it won’t fit well of you have a tummy or have a large chest. Reasons: the center closure turns sideways and doesn’t stay upright when on. Natural tension of being worn makes it pull and since it’s not sewn in tightly there, it moves and then you’ve got a wonky closure. If you have a tummy, this metal closure sticks into you every time you bend over. The points of the underwire-while nicely stitched in-are not padded and stick into you under the arm area and in front with every movement. A little better care when making could rid this issue. Over all fits to size, but you need to be thin and smaller chest size in order for this to work. Truly wanted to love this one.

Many pros and cons, but overall OK
Size: 42DD, Color: Brown Purple
I love the concept of this bra, however, it has been a struggle finding the right fit. I fairly consistently wear a 40DD. The 40 band on this was way too big and ended up with a 38. The cup sizes I. Still having issues with the 40DD I was spilling over in the middle, but the next cup size up the cup was rippling. Neither in the 40 provided any support to the breast and they bounced and jiggled like I was wearing nothing. The cup in the 38DD was way too small. The 38DDD/F way better, but still not quite right. In all cases the stretch fabric of the cups is very thin, I don’t mind that as I certainly don’t need additional al padding! The other benefit of the stretchy fabric is if you have any discrepancy from size to size the stretch fabric accommodates this better. All that said, I do wish the stretchy cup was just a bit thicker to keep the girls from getting out of control and dropping! The back of the bra is so comfortable and hides any bulges perfectly!! My two biggest complaints are that the underwire comes quite far up into the armpit and is uncomfortable getting pit poked all day. And two the pit poke is exacerbated due to the fact that there is absolutely no padding at the tip of the underwire.
