Meet the Special Blend Bottle—a scientifically curated quartet of predatory mites designed to provide broad-spectrum defense against the most notorious crop destroyers. We have combined four distinct species—Andersoni, Cucumeris, Swirskii, and Persimilis—into a single, easy-to-apply bottle.

Why settle for a single soldier when you can deploy an entire army? This isn't just bug control; it is a meticulously balanced ecosystem in a bottle.

The Science: Meet the Quad-Squad

This blend utilizes functional biodiversity. By combining generalist and specialist predators, we cover multiple trophic niches, temperature ranges, and pest life stages.

The Specialist: Phytoseiulus persimilis

  • The Role: The heat-seeking missile.

  • The Science: An obligate predator of the Two-Spotted Spider Mite (Tetranychus urticae). It doesn't just eat them; it hunts them down with high mobility and rapid reproduction rates. If there are spider mites, Persimilis will find them.

The Heavy Hitter: Amblyseius swirskii

  • The Role: The warm-weather warrior.

  • The Science: A voracious Type III generalist predator. Swirskii dominates in warmer, humid environments, aggressively consuming thrips larvae and whitefly eggs. It is the muscle of the group.

The Scout: Neoseiulus cucumeris

  • The Role: The pollen-loving patroller.

  • The Science: This mite thrives on thrips larvae but can survive on pollen when prey is scarce, allowing it to establish a preventative population before an infestation even begins. It provides the "standing army" effect.

The Survivor: Amblyseius andersoni

  • The Role: The hardy all-rounder.

  • The Science: Known for its thermal plasticity, Andersoni stays active in cooler temperatures where others slow down. It attacks spider mites, russet mites, and thrips, ensuring your plants are protected during environmental fluctuations.

Why the "Special Blend" Works

Biocontrol fails when you rely on a "silver bullet." The Special Blend works on the principle of synergistic predation.

  1. Climate Resilience: Whether your grow room dips cool (Andersoni) or spikes hot (Swirskii), one of your predators is always in its prime fighting weight.

  2. Pest Coverage: From the webbing of Spider Mites to the hidden larvae of Thrips, this blend attacks pests at different heights on the plant and different stages of their life cycle.

  3. No "Gap" periods: While specialist predators (Persimilis) might die off if they eat all their prey, the generalists (Cucumeris, Andersoni) stick around on pollen or alternative food sources, maintaining a defensive line.

Product Specs & Application

  • Format: Shaker Bottle (vermiculite/bran carrier).

  • Target Pests: Two-Spotted Spider Mites, Thrips (various species), Whiteflies, Russet Mites, Broad Mites.

  • Best For: Proactive prevention and treating early-to-moderate hotspots.

Ready to let nature do the heavy lifting? Grab a bottle of Special Blend and watch the bad bugs check out—permanently.

Absolutely would buy again
Color: Orange
I love this, my pup loves this. Strong, sturdy. Shakes all over the place. Pup loves to chew on it, I think the vibration comforts her gums from teething. Perfect size You must take the outer skin off and pop open the white power button to charge it. Total fun!

Rubber blue cover won't come off.
Color: Orange
If you want to keep the blue cover on that your dog chews off every other ball that is similar, get this one. Most dogs will not chew it off. It stretches when the chew on it so it can't be chewed or stretched off the ball. I've got a blind dog and she will kick it around for an hour at a time. It keeps her active and having fun.

Nice, but...
Color: Orange
It's a good idea & keeps my 1yr old Staffy/Pit occupied, BUT... The rubber around the ball is either too easy to chew through or my pup is just an aggressive chewer. Either way, it's a plus that it does come with an additional rubber, but it would be nice to also be able to buy additional ones vs having to buy the whole toy again & again! Oh, & if you think about letting them play with it without the rubber please be on the lookout for the rubber covering where you would charge it because my pup managed to locate & destroy that cover piece as well haha!

Entertains my husky!
After some research, I decided on this interactive toy for my young husky. I chose it over others because I liked that it was wrapped in a silicone cover so it wouldn't be as hard on her teeth, or my floors. It also seems to have helped with durability. She's never had this sort of automated toy before to engage with and it surprised her at first, but then she really got into it: pawing and nosing and sometimes howling at it. I was worried it would drive her and/or me crazy, but so far so good. She will play with it for a good 10 minutes at a time and it seems to provide some good mental stimulation since it rolls and spins unpredictably. It is easy to charge and was ready to use right out of the box. It has proved durable in the first week surviving my crazy pup and multiple trips down the stairs. I am also happy to report that it has worked pretty well on the carpet/rug areas of the home. It should work pretty well unless you have a very thick shag carpet. We'll see how long it lasts, but highly recommend so far.
