Its elongated stem which is in a sprawling manner can grow up to 6 inches tall and 12 inches wide. Its size makes it an ideal succulent for small spaces or for optimal growing conditions.  

This Huernia plant produces small, star-shaped flowers in the summer that are yellow or reddish-brown in color and have a strong, unpleasant odor that attracts flies. The flowers usually last for a few days before falling off, and this crested variety may produce several blooms throughout the blooming season.
