Chocolate Anthurium or Flamingo Flower 'Chocolate' (Anthurium andreanum 'Chocolate')

This extremely elegant, rare, and visually sophisticated Chocolate Anthurium or Flamingo Flower 'Chocolate' is a true treasure for those looking for something more unusual than the classic red indoor plant flowers! It stands out with its heart-shaped, dark green, glossy leaves, as well as stunning, richly chocolate brown or dark burgundy flowers (more precisely – spathes), which look almost lacquered. This special variety adds a slightly smoky, luxury-class, and very modern atmosphere to any room. Since anthuriums are world-renowned for their ability to bloom almost continuously and their flowers stay fresh for a very long time (even several months), it is an extremely rewarding, dynamic, and elegant indoor plant that will give any interior a distinctive natural accent. It is an exclusive, long-lasting, and very aesthetic gift for both experienced plant lovers and beginners who want a spectacular but moderately demanding green friend!

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

  • ☀️ Light: Bright but diffused light. For the anthurium to continuously produce new flower buds and maintain its saturated, dark chocolate tone, a large amount of light is vitally necessary. An east or west-facing windowsill is an absolutely ideal choice. However, strictly protect it from direct, scorching midday sun rays, which will instantly burn its leaves and flowers.

  • 💧 Watering: Regular but very careful. The anthurium likes evenly slightly moist soil, but it is extremely sensitive to overwatering! Allow the top layer of soil (about 3-5 cm deep) to dry slightly between watering. It absolutely cannot tolerate roots sitting in standing water in the saucer, which will quickly cause root rot and plant death.

  • 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Thrives at warm room temperature. As a true tropical forest dweller, it literally adores high air humidity (a humidifier or regular misting will be very helpful to prevent leaf tips from drying out and to ensure smooth flower opening). Strictly protect from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes!

  • 🐾 Pets: Not pet-friendly. The plant is toxic to cats and dogs. It contains calcium oxalate crystals, which can cause severe irritation of the mouth and throat, drooling, vomiting, and difficulty swallowing if chewed. Keep it safely out of reach of pets!

🏠 MOST SUITABLE ROOM:

  • Bright living room or bedroom (as a very elegant, flowering, and luxury-class interior accent).

  • Bright bathroom with a window (if there is enough light, the plant will love the natural humidity reminiscent of the tropics).

  • Bright office (where it can delight with its flowers for a long time).

SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Height: 30 cm

  • Pot diameter: 12 cm

⚠️ Note: Plants are living organisms, so each specimen and its flower tone may vary slightly (from lighter brown to almost black burgundy). It is important to know nature’s secrets: anthurium flowers (spathes) naturally change color over time and with aging, turning greenish or fading – this is a normal process! When a flower has completely dried, you can carefully cut it off at the base so the plant does not waste unnecessary energy and can prepare to bloom new buds. When repotting, it is strictly forbidden to use regular, dense indoor plant soil! Always use an extremely airy and loose aroid soil mix (richly mixed with orchid bark, sphagnum moss, and perlite) so its thick, epiphytic roots can breathe freely.

My Go-To Sublimation Paper — Flawless Results Every Time
Size: 8.5"x11", Size: 8.5"x11"
This is hands down the best sublimation paper I’ve used and the only one I continue to buy. I get a perfect transfer every single time—no fracturing, no fading, and no uneven results. The paper dries fast, which makes my workflow so much smoother, especially when I’m producing items in batches. I use this regularly to make air fresheners and tote bags for my small business, and the color payoff is always vibrant and crisp. The transfer rate is excellent, and it works beautifully on light-colored, high-quality polyester and other sublimation-ready surfaces. If you’re a small business owner or crafter who values consistency, quality, and ease of use, this paper is absolutely worth it. I highly recommend it and will continue to repurchase.

Best Sublimation Paper
Size: 8.5"x11"
I’ve been using A-Sub paper for my sublimation projects, and it is easily one of the best. The ink dries almost instantly once printed, so I don’t have to worry about smudging the design or getting those annoying "pizza wheel" marks from the printer rollers. The paper itself feels substantial and doesn't tear or curl easily. One of the biggest wins for me is that it never jams; it feeds through perfectly every time, saving me the frustration of wasting expensive ink and paper. When I go to press my designs, the ink releases almost completely, leaving very little behind on the paper and putting all that color onto the project. The final results look super professional, with colors that are vibrant and sharp rather than looking faded or dull. It has worked perfectly for everything I’ve tried so far, and if you want a reliable paper that gives you consistent, high-quality results, this is definitely the one to get.
