Also known as “Hens and Chicks,” these delightful succulents are a great addition to any garden. Let me share some interesting facts about them:

  1. What Are Hens and Chicks?

    • The name “Hens and Chicks” comes from the way these plants grow. The “hen” refers to the larger, central rosette (the mother), while the “chicks” are the smaller rosettes that grow around it.
    • They’re called “always living” (Sempervivum) because they thrive even in challenging conditions.
    • Originally from southern Europe and northern Africa, they’ve been cultivated for centuries and were brought to western Europe by the Romans.
  2. Propagation and Growth:

    • Hens and Chicks produce offsets (chicks) on long stolons. These offsets can be easily separated, allowing the plant to multiply and seemingly live forever.
    • They’re monocarpic, meaning the mother plant will eventually expire after blooming, but the chicks quickly fill in the space left behind.
  3. Care Tips:

    • Low-maintenance plants: They thrive with minimal attention.
    • Provide well-draining soil and plenty of sunlight.
    • Water sparingly and avoid overfeeding with nutrients.

Worked twice then died within 3 months
Color: 7-in-1 Silver & Black/Beer Opener, Size: Rechargeable Set
The set is nice, looks good, well organized. The features are simple and the main opener looks and feels sturdy. However, roughly half the corks just get torn and don’t extract. Had 3 or less successes with as many failures. We only drink a few bottles a month at most. Now the unit just completely stops almost as quickly as it starts. You can reverse the screw to get it out when it stops and the motor seems fine when not pressed against a bottle/cork. The way it stops almost immediately when fully charged and cool means it isn’t an overheating issue or weak battery issue from what I can tell. Very disappointed and wished I’d returned it the minute I had the first issue. I thought it might just be me not holding it firmly enough or needing to learn some trick, but it was definitely the unit going bad. Buyer beware.

Easy to operate.
Color: Black/Battery
Very easy to operate. I was a little confused on how it operated but all I had to do is sit it on top of the can and it operates by itself. When it is done, the lid can be removed or set on top of the can. It doesn't leave any sharp edges. I was using a hand held one but because I have arthritis in my wrist, it is worth the price easy enough for seniors or disabled

Only worked for 1 month.
Color: Black/Battery
This product was delivered on April 20th and worked great. It made a nice clean cut in the metal with no sharp edges and the top of the can lifted up nicely. Yesterday, May 24th, it stopped cutting and unfortunately, the return window closed on May 20th.
