Product Information

Kentucky 31 Tall Fescue Grass Seed is an economical, low-maintenance Tall Fescue variety that is unique for its increased heat tolerance when compared to other Fescue varieties. It has a coarse texture and light green color, is easy to establish, and tolerates both wear and drought.

Kentucky 31 Tall Fescue Grass Seed, also known as KY 31, was introduced into the United States from Europe during the early 1800s. Kentucky 31 Fescue Grass can be found growing in low, damp pastures and wet meadowlands throughout Europe, North Africa and North America.

In the United States, Tall Fescue is found in low-lying pastures from the Pacific Northwest to the southern states. Although it grows best in moist environments, Tall Fescue has good drought tolerance and will survive during dry periods in a dormant state. Tall fescue is adapted to a wide range of soils, but does best on clay soils high in organic matter. Tall fescue is well adapted to the "transition zone" of the United States where summers are too hot and humid for cool season grasses, and winters too cold for warm season grasses. In the South, Tall Fescue is best adapted to those states in the transition zone - Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia and northern parts of North Carolina, Georgia and Texas.

Prepare the soil by tilling to a depth of 4 to 6 in. Conduct a soil test to be sure your soil has the proper nutrients it needs for a healthy lawn. Apply fertilizer and lime at the recommended rates. If you are unable to conduct a soil test, apply lime and a complete lawn fertilizer according to the recommended rates on the packages. Work lime and fertilizer evenly into the soil, then rake the soil surface smooth to give the seed an ideal bed in which to establish healthy roots. Sow the grass seed by evenly spreading according to the recommended seeding rates. Rake, harrow, or otherwise work the seed into the soil 1/4 to 1/2 in. deep. Keep the area well watered until the seed germinates and the seedlings have grown sufficiently to establish a lawn, then water as needed.

Plant at a rate of 5 - 10 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft.

Before overseeding, it is important to prepare the soil. Conduct a soil test to be sure your lawn has the proper balance of nutrients. Fertilize and lime if needed. Mow or clip the existing grass as closely as possible. Remove clippings and rake, harrow lightly, or aerate the soil where there is existing lawn. This will allow the new seed to make contact with the soil. Sow the seed and gently rake to cover. Keep the lawn moist until seedlings are established, then water as needed.

Rid your lawn of undesirable grasses so that you can establish a desirable lawn. During any growing season, spray the established undesirable turf with a non-selective herbicide labeled for lawn use. Follow the directions on the label. After the lawn turns brown, continue with your seeding program as outlined above. Be sure to start with a soil test or a complete lawn fertilizer.

Mow your lawn closely, then remove leaves, dead grass, etc. Rake, harrow lightly, or aerate the bare spots to prepare the seedbed. Conduct a soil test to be sure the soil has the proper balance of nutrients. Fertilize and lime if needed.

It has it all
It's exactly what it advertises and does everything I need it to. Enough space to fit my phone, readers, car keys, AirPods, wallet, and a little extra space for a small candle. I only wish the slot for the charging cable was a bit smaller sometimes the charging cable will slide out since there is nothing to catch it or secure it in place.

Works Great!
Color: 2Pcs-Large L Hooks-Orange, Color: 2Pcs-Large L Hooks-Orange
The hooks were the perfect length and strength to hold the decorative fence edging I was wanting. The magnets were also the right strength. I would buy these again!

Heavy duty - they have their limits
Color: 2Pcs-Large L Hooks-Black
These don’t hold a regular shovel, the magnet isn’t strong enough. They do work nice for plastic snow shovels. I use them in a Wick steel building. Nice to not have to drill into the walls. The depth is nice on them.
