Rounded, mounded, compact and full, Ecuador gets to around 8" or so in height and width too. What sets him apart are those striking, extra large leaves in arresting colors. First you have the really big, wide, rounded,oval leaf with a semigloss finish and crumply, wrinkly texture, then you have those colors! A piney, dark green

Newcomer Peperomia Ecuador is a handsome version of our good old Peperomias, growing in a similar fashion to those relatives. Rounded, mounded, compact and full, Ecuador gets to around 8" or so in height and width too. What sets him apart are those striking, extra large leaves in arresting colors. First you have the really big, wide, rounded,oval leaf with a semigloss finish and crumply, wrinkly texture, then you have those colors! A piney, dark green base with silvery, brushy slashes lightly painted down the leaf starting where the petiole attaches to it and adding in red petioles and stems completes the picture. You should really have this handsome guy hanging around.

• Water - Medium (3):  Water plant when dry. Plant does not like soil to always be moist, but doesn't like to stay dry once becomes dry. Water as soon as soil is dry.
• Light - Medium (3):  Plant prefers natural, diffused light. Can be placed in a spacious living room. Indirect light preferred. No direct sunlight on leaves.
• Difficulty - Medium (3):  Not too difficult to keep happy, but does require some attention.
