String of Watermelons Senecio herreanus is a succulent plant of the genus Senecio in the family Asteraceae. It's called String of Watermelons because its striped shape is somewhat similar to a watermelon.

The stems of String of Watermelons grow prostrate, the leaves are fleshy and teardrop-shaped, green, with a stripe on the epidermis, and the stripes will turn purple when there is a large temperature difference and sufficient light, and even the whole leaf will look a little purple-red. In addition, String of Watermelons has a thicker and somewhat transparent stripe on the leaf surface.

Care Tips

Light: The most suitable way for it to sunbathe is to receive sunlight in an environment that has been dispersed by sunlight. It can not accept too much direct sunlight to itself, if it receives direct sunlight, its leaf color will become yellow from bright green. If the situation is serious, it may even lead to the withering of the whole plant. It should not be exposed to sunlight either.

Water: It does not require much water, and its roots tend to rot if the soil is waterlogged for a long time. In spring and autumn, it can be watered more often, which makes it easy to grow in groups and look very good. When the temperature is very high in summer, you should reduce the amount and frequency of watering, but you can spray some mist or sprinkle some water into the air. Of course, you can't water too much in winter, for one thing, it grows very slowly and doesn't need much, and you have to pay attention to prevent freezing.

Soil: In order to meet its requirements for loose soil, you can choose to mix perlite, peat, kiryu zuna / kiryu sand, etc. The amount of perlite added should be slightly less game. In addition, it is best not to use a substrate like vermiculite, because it can easily harm the root part of this plant.

Potting: It is recommended to use ceramic pots, ceramic pots have a certain degree of permeability, clay pots lose water too fast, plastic pots retain water too strong, and poor permeability. Also they do best in hanging baskets.

Temperature: Like a warm growth environment, it is adaptable, relatively hardy growth of the appropriate temperature is between  55 - 77°F (13 - 25 ℃), winter overwintering temperature is generally not less than 41°F (5 ℃).

Humidity: Prefer a humid environment 50% to 60% humidity, can give sufficient moisture, but the summer stifling heat should pay attention to ventilation. It grows well in average household humidity levels when grown indoors.

    Care Instructions

Please visit our Succulent Care info page for more details.

To ensure the health of succulents, it is important to plant them in porous, well-draining soil. Succulents require little watering, but don't like to sit in wet soil. To create an adequate cactus mix, simply add pumice, perlite, or grit to cactus soil to provide the proper drainage.

Make sure to leave drought periods between waterings to prevent the plant from water-logging.

      THE P@SSION IN THIS STORY!!!
      Format: Kindle
Wow! How could I ever forget how amazing Piper Rayne is?! Her writing is SO GOOD and captivating that I had to force myself to slow down as I just didn’t want this book to end. The MMC was super sweet and strong and loyal and not afraid to feel what he’s feeling. No, is is NOT a simp, he is just mature and once he decided he was in love, instead of running away in fear, he started making moves to show it. That is one who is in touch with his emotions for sure. Rowan was a dream boyfriend that I wish were real!! Then we had our FMC, Ryleigh who was a bit emotionally stunted due to something she had seen. She was NOT looking for Mr. Right, just Mr. Right now but boy oh BOY did the sparks fly between these two!! 🥵😮‍💨🔥. Their chemistry was off the charts and the spïcy scenes were so fre@king hot. Just woa, had me fanning myself constantly. The way they were portrayed as a couple showed a lasting connection that I was cheering for from chapter one. This was such an amazing story that I had to switch to reading it as well as I couldn’t stop when I got out of my car. (This started as an audible book but quickly became my every book)! With narrators like: Sean Masters,Erin Mallon, Connor Crais, JF Harding, Troy Duran, Teddy Hamilton and CJ Bloom?! there was no WAY I wasn’t buying this a fre@king all star cast like I’ve never had in a book before. These are literally almost all of my favorites, I was totally geeking out. All in all a great feel good story full of passion, heat, hurt and healing. Loved every minute of it. The side characters were so powerful I hope each guy gets his own book!

Banter, a bit of angst, found family, and a hot, tattooed bad boy who’s really a totally softie
      Format: Kindle
This was a fun, easy read. It has all the things I love in a sports romance...banter, a bit of angst, found family, and a hot, tattooed bad boy who’s really a totally softie. Knox is kind of a mess at the start. He’s super talented, but has a reputation problem after getting kicked off his motocross team. He’s desperate for a second chance, which leads him to Avery, a former Olympic gymnast recovering from an injury. She’s trying to get her confidence back, and somehow these two end up helping each other. They can't stand each other at the beginning. He says ALL. THE. WRONG. THINGS. Evenutally, their friendship builds into something more. It felt natural and sweet. I liked that they both had their own stuff going on. Avery’s inner struggle was really relatable, and Knox’s bond with his brothers, especially with Flynn, added a ton of heart to the story. The beginning was little slow, and the ending felt a little rushed. Overall, though? I had a great time with this book.

      New Type of Sports Romance!
      Format: Kindle, Format: Kindle
Instagram: @notyourkindlehistory Burnout by Rebecca Jenshak Rating: 3.5 Spice: 3.5

Tropes: - Gymnast x motocross rider - Training together - Tattooed hero - College romance - Ton of Banter My Review Okay… I’m not even sure how to start this review so I’m just going to explain my 3.5 rating. I want to begin saying, there really wasn’t anything that made this book bad. I have read previous books by Rebecca Jenshak, and I LOVED them, rated them 4 or 5 stars, but for some reason, this book took me about 35-40% of the way through to finally get into it and enjoy it. Once I got past that point, I absolutely loved it. I’m not sure if it was a mood I was in, or just that it was a completely different type of sports romance, but something just didn’t grab my attention soon enough. I loved Avery and Knox, two complete opposite kind of people, which made for a ton of banter. I loved that we were able to get inside of the head of Avery, an Olympic gymnast, who was recovering from an injury, and see what that process of the road to recovery and competing again at 100%  looked like from a mental stand point. Knox was this character that you got immediate bad boy, I don’t do relationships and just hook up vibes from, but slowly throughout the book you can see Avery and Knox going back and forth and breaking each-others walls down. They began hanging out more and doing more things together, but didn’t want to define what they had because it worked for them and what they needed at the time. This book had different aspects of a relationship that you don’t see in other romance books, such as long distance. I thought the end of this book was left more open ended than closed, and I felt it just kind of ended, or the epilogue wasn’t really a cherry on top, it was more so just the sprinkles. BUT, overall, I would recommend this book to read to others; the spice in this book was AMAZING (there may or may not be a spicy motorcycle scene hehe), the banter was great, we really got a feel and understanding of each character too. I wonder if I read it again, or read other books in the universe to get some background on this story, maybe my mind will change on my rating; but for now it’s a solid 3.5 for me.
