Large pink-purple flowers with classic coneflower beauty.

Magnus Purple Coneflower produces large, daisy-like flowers with broad rose-pink to purple petals surrounding prominent bronze-brown cones. Unlike many older coneflowers with strongly drooping petals, Magnus is known for its more horizontal petal presentation, giving each bloom a fuller, showier look in the garden. This makes it an excellent choice for homeowners who want the timeless appeal of native purple coneflower with a bolder, more refined flower form.

A sturdy perennial for full sun borders.

Echinacea Magnus has an upright, clump-forming habit with strong stems that help the flowers stand tall in sunny borders, pollinator gardens, meadow-style plantings, and cottage gardens. Its coarse green foliage and sturdy flower stems pair beautifully with ornamental grasses, black-eyed Susans, salvia, catmint, yarrow, bee balm, coreopsis, alliums, lavender, and Russian sage. Use it as a mid- to back-border perennial, repeat it in a naturalistic planting, or mass it for a strong summer color display.

Pollinator-friendly flowers from summer into fall.

Magnus Purple Coneflower attracts butterflies, bees, hummingbirds, and other beneficial pollinators during its long summer bloom season. The open cone-shaped flowers are easy for pollinators to access, while the large blooms provide strong visibility in mixed perennial beds. After the petals fade, the seed heads can be left standing for winter texture and bird value, especially for finches that feed on Echinacea seeds.

Tough, drought-tolerant, and deer-resistant.

Once established, Magnus Echinacea is a low-maintenance perennial that handles heat, humidity, and dry spells well. It performs best in full sun and well-drained soil, and it adapts to average, lean, sandy, or dry garden soils once rooted in. It is also considered deer-resistant in many landscapes, making it a practical option for homeowners who want reliable full-sun color with better-than-average browsing resistance.

Excellent for cut flowers, meadows, and low-maintenance landscapes.

Magnus Purple Coneflower is beautiful in fresh-cut arrangements and can also be dried for seasonal texture. It fits naturally into pollinator gardens, prairie-style plantings, cottage borders, rain garden edges with good drainage, and low-maintenance landscapes where long bloom, wildlife value, and seasonal structure matter. Deadheading can encourage a tidier look and additional bloom, while leaving some late-season cones supports birds and adds winter interest.

Incredibly well researched
Format: Paperback
Purchased in light of the current election fraud/security debates. I learned nothing so far is new. Data intensive. Can be dry at times, though many of the quotes from historical figures are revealing as to prevailing attitudes.

Excellent and thorough
This must be the definitive history of voting in America. I hold back from giving it five stars because it was a little more than what I was looking for, but this is as thorough as I have ever come across. Also, I love charts and graphs, and he has a great array of tables at the end. Interesting tidbit was the role war played throughout American history in expanding the right to vote. Also, though we all know how the right to vote gradually expanded, but what many of us didn't realize was how the right to vote actually shrunk at various points in American history. That is, some people who had the right to vote had it taken away at various moments in American history. When all is said and done, this is a great book.

read!
Format: Kindle
I had to read this book for a political theory class, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Keysarr did a great job of researching and writing it. It was not as dry as some of the other, similar books I've read. I would definitely recommend this one, even if it's not for a class.
