PSM (Plastarch Material) is a biodegradable and compostable material made primarily from plant starch, often derived from corn or other renewable sources. PSM bags decompose more easily than conventional plastic bags, making them a popular choice for environmentally conscious packaging. These materials have the advantage of being renewable, biodegradable, abundantly available, and inexpensive. Biodegradable plastics take only three to six months to fully decompose. Please note that these bags are not typically water-soluble. While they are biodegradable and compostable, they do not dissolve in water. PSM bags are designed to break down under composting conditions with heat, moisture, and microorganisms but remain intact when exposed to water.
