Terrariums are where it all began for The Watered Garden. What started as a love for making these miniature ecosystems, has grown into everything we do - and we’re still making each one by hand in the shop, just as we always have.

So… what is a terrarium? Think of it as a tiny self-contained world: plants, soil, moss, stones all layered into a glass vessel, creating its own ecosystem. Once complete, the moisture inside recirculates, meaning very little care is needed, just the occasional bit of indirect light and a good spot to show it off.

Every terrarium we make is one of a kind. We carefully select plants that thrive in enclosed environments (you can see a collection of them here), and arrange them with natural textures like bark, stones and wood. We build them layer by layer to ensure they stay healthy and beautiful for the long haul.
