The Cretan terracotta Amphora is an elegant, traditional Mediterranean vessel - their thin form enables them to fill hard-to-dress gaps in gardens and patios.

Thomas says: ''The Amphora is a design that is almost as old as time itself. Excavations of ancient sites have found these tall, thin jars in abundance, some with evidence of them being used as a vessel for the transportation of grains & liquids. As an ornamental terracotta vase, they can look very smart tucked amongst large grasses or turned into over-flowing water features. Whatever you choose to do, you'll be hard pushed to do a bad job. Raise yours with the scroll plinth or the less-formal wedge design.''

Each pot is individually hand-thrown and made from the finest quality Cretan clay. This clay is renowned for its durability and and unique appearance. Once a pot has been fired in a kiln for a duration of 3 days at temperatures reaching around 1200 Celsius, the results are a hardened clay that can last for decades.
