• About Spider Plant: Spider plant (Chlorophytum comosum) is a popular evergreen perennial houseplant with narrow, strap-shaped leaves growing out of the base of the plant. • Care Tips. Spider plants do very well with a wide range of soils and grow best when lightly pot-bound. Although these plants can stay with low light, it is best to grow them under bright indirect light. Water the plants when the soil becomes slightly dry. Feed the plants monthly during the growing season with a houseplant food. Spider plants can tolerate temperatures ranging from 35°F to 90°F and prefer temperatures between 65°F –75°F.
