Daucus carota Seeds — Lace of History, Wings of Wildlife

Plant more than seeds—plant a legacy. Wild Carrot, or Queen Anne’s Lace, drapes the summer sky with feathery umbels that carry pollen-speckled wonders and centuries of poetry in their lace-like bloom.

Bloom Color & Form

  • Bloom Appearance: Clusters of delicate white, lacy umbels, often edged in creamy petals, with the occasional tiny central floret in deep purple or red—a striking jewel in a crown of silk.

  • Structure: These umbrella-like flowerheads measure 3–6 inches wide, supported by erect, hair-roughened stems reaching up to 5 feet in its biennial prime.

Hardiness & Growth

  • USDA Hardiness Zones: Exceptionally adaptable, thriving across Zones 3–11—able to weather harsh winters and sunny fields alike.

  • Life Cycle: A biennial charmer: first year it forms a rosette of fern-like leaves; second year it blooms in delicate grandeur before setting seed.

Fragrance & Pollinator Appeal

  • Fragrance: Unassuming and subtle; this species favors visual allure and nectar over scent.

  • Wildlife Magnet: Flowers brim with nectar and pollen, attracting bees, butterflies, wasps, flies, and even beneficial wasps like Gasteruption, creating a summer sanctuary for the busy and winged.

  • Larval Host: Known as a host plant for Eastern Black Swallowtail caterpillars, this plant supports the butterfly's full life cycle—an ecosystem thread in garden tapestry.

Cultural and Historical Significance

  • Ancestral Roots of the Carrot: This wild form is the very ancestor of the cultivated carrot, representing the tangled heritage of fields past and the dawn of domestication.

  • Queen Anne’s Lace Legend: Legend places a single red floret at the button of the umbel to honor Queen Anne, pricking her finger while crafting lace—an homage wrapped in floral fashion.

  • Art, Poetry & History: Iconic in art, symbol, and verse—including a beloved poem by William Carlos Williams—its presence connects gardeners to centuries of human imagination.

Practical Charm & Cottage-Garden Grace

  • Scenic Self-Seeder: Scatter these seeds and watch the lace cascade naturally—meadow, border, or roadside, Queen Anne blooms with carefree confidence.

  • Companion Sensibility: Its umbels attract beneficial insects, aiding vegetable plots—boosting nearby blueberries, enhancing pollinator corridors.

  • Cautionary Note: Though enchanting, it can naturalize aggressively; managing seedheads curbs unwanted spread.

Gorgeous!!
Color: Black/Dark Grey, Lens Width: 53 Millimeters
My new favorite sunglasses! Love the design and shape of these, they’re high quality and well made. Easily and securely fit my small framed face well and look so good on. I’ve gotten a ton of compliments and plan to purchase a second pair for my daughter who also loves them!

beautiful color and style
Color: Dark Green/Azure Internal Mirrored Silver, Lens Width: 53 Millimeters, Color: Dark Green/Azure Internal Mirrored Silver, Lens Width: 53 Millimeters
These are really beautiful sunglasses, with a thick, sturdy green frame and gorgeous emerald green crystal accents at the temples. The hinge is set inside the crystal, so when you fold the glasses, the crystal splits into two parts. It's a neat feature and really unique. The lenses are green but lightly mirrored. I love the style and color of these glasses, as they are definitely unusual and people will notice them. They are, unfortunately, a little tight on my head. I am going to take them to my optician and see if they can be adjusted. I also believe these may have been tried on or used and returned, as the lenses are both smudged like someone handled them with dirty hands. The glasses do not seem to be damaged, but I would have expected a pristine pair at this price point. They come with paperwork and a lens cloth, along with a case for carrying and storage. Paperwork says they are made by Luxottica, which is a high-end, luxury eyewear company in Milan, Italy, that owns or licenses many popular luxury eyewear brands. They are lovely glasses with very good quality, a fun upscale look, and tons of style. I like them a lot and expect many compliments on this eye-catching pair!

Super cute
Color: Pink/Pink Mirrored Pink, Lens Width: 53 Millimeters
These are super cute and really love them except they are a tad too heavy I think for glasses. Made very well with quality materials, I found no cosmetic imperfections on the glasses. The overall look and stye of these are great and I really do love them I just can't wear them for too long due to the weight it becomes irritating.

Color: Dark Green/Azure Internal Mirrored Silver, Lens Width: 53 Millimeters
These oval oval sunglasses are super cute ,They will look great on any shape of face. Green is one of my favorite colors, but green is also a great test of matching skills! The lenses of Swarovski sunglasses are coated with a 100% UV protective coating to protect your eyes from UV rays!

A chique set of sunglasses for any trendy woman
Color: Black/Dark Grey, Lens Width: 53 Millimeters, Color: Black/Dark Grey, Lens Width: 53 Millimeters
I love these pair of sunglasses! I’ve never been really able to wear them before lasek. But it’s important to now and the glasses are a true 100% UV blocking. Packaging is really nice done and the green case complements the emerald piece in the glasses themselves. It came with a cleaning cloth which is nice to keep in your purse. The sunglasses have a dark tint. These pair frame my face nicely and I have a rounder face. It’s not uncomfortable on the nose bridge and the frame is quite durable. It’s lightweight and there’s no pressure on the ears. They are well made and are perfect to dress up an outfit. I prefer simple frames with a special touch and the green emerald piece take these up a notch . So excited for summer!
