The Dracaena marginata stump is a resilient plant with long, slender green leaves edged with red. Instead of multiple spindly stalks in one pot, the Marginata stump has one main thick stalk that grows pretty vertically. The leaves grow in dense clumps at the ends of the branches in such a way that they look like the backs of porcupines perched on a trunk. While the leaves look sharp and jagged at a glance, they are just as soft as normal leaves and won’t leave a scratch. Not too fussy about light and water, these plants are excellent for any level of plant parent!

Marginata canes prefer a bright, indirect light source. They can be happy in lower light conditions, but they won’t thrive in the same way as they would with something a little brighter. Be aware though, you'll want to keep it away from the direct sunlight, this can burn the leaves. The small Marginata stump comes in a 4” wide plastic grow pot, so it’s a perfect addition to your desk at work, a space on the shelf, or your counter! Dracaenas are considered toxic to animals – keep the leaves and sap out of reach of any curious pets.
