The Lavender That’s Built for Real-World Gardens

Phenomenal Lavender is the “easy yes” for shoppers who want true lavender fragrance and saturated purple flower spikes—without the heartbreak many lavenders face in humid summers or rough winters. It’s widely praised for improved tolerance to heat, humidity, and common disease pressures when planted in the sun and fast-draining soil.

If you’re buying lavender to make a walkway smell incredible, to edge a garden bed, or to plant a small hedge you can harvest for bouquets and drying, Phenomenal delivers strong bloom and aromatic foliage with a tidy, mounded look that reads “intentional” from spring through fall.

A Dense, Mounded Plant That’s Perfect for Borders and Low Hedges

Phenomenal forms a uniform mound that typically lands around 24–32 inches tall and wide in many landscape settings, giving you enough size for structure without overpowering smaller beds. That compact fullness is what makes it so useful as a hedge lavender: it fills in, holds its shape, and looks polished even when nothing else is blooming.

Flowering stems rise above the foliage in summer, creating that classic lavender silhouette—silver-green base + purple wands—ideal for repeating rhythm along paths, driveways, and fence lines.

Full Sun + Drainage = The Difference Between “Okay” and Outstanding

Full sun is the ticket for strong bloom and tight growth, and drainage is non-negotiable—Phenomenal may be more forgiving than many lavenders, but it still performs best in gritty, fast-draining soil or a sharply draining container mix. Avoid low spots and slow-draining clay pockets where water lingers.

Water regularly during establishment, then taper to deeper, less frequent watering once roots are set. Lavender prefers drying slightly between waterings, and consistent “wet feet” is the quickest path to stress and root issues.

Pollinator Magnet, Deer-Resistant Border, and a Harvest-Ready Herb

Plant Phenomenal Lavender where you’ll brush past it—paths, patios, front borders—because fragrance is half the point. In summer, it pulls in pollinators like bees and butterflies, and it’s commonly listed as deer-resistant thanks to its aromatic oils.

It also excels as a cut-and-dry plant: harvest flower spikes for bouquets, sachets, wreaths, and potpourri, then enjoy a clean, evergreen-ish mound of silvery foliage in mild climates.

Easy to use without any effort
Color: Orange
Needed a small space electric opener to help with opening cans due to arthritis. Manual ones were difficult to use. This fits in the palm of your hand and is easy to attach to can. It opens regular size cans easily, although it is a bit slow. The one can it didn't work well on was Fancy Feast Cat Food cans. Seems to leave a sliver of metal on the edge, very tiny but of concern. Contacted customer service and they were excellent - quick responses and very helpful at working with me to see if it was just the fancy feast can or the opener. Seems that those two just don't work well together. They even sent me a second opener so that we could try to recreate the problem. I am keeping the original opener and returning the second one as neither will open the Fancy Feast can. They supplied a return label also. There are lots of cans in the world and this is just a minor function situation with this opener. I think it is a great product.

A very handy kitchen tool.
Color: White
This can opener is an easy, hands free tool, to use. It does open canned items efficiently, but slower than hand-turn openers, which saves a painful wrist motion from which I suffer. Unlike a traditional opener, this one cuts under the can edge which requires caution when removing the lid as exposed cut edges are very sharp. Also, the opener does not stop when it has completed its circuit. The start button has to be pressed to stop action.

Update Year Later, Love it! Really impressed
Color: Orange
Update: I've owned it a year now, still on original batteries (surprised me), it still works great. I still get a little annoyed with how slow it it, but might be time for new batteries. Once in a blue moon the circle is not completely cut, but that's on me as I control when to stop it, to reverse. No issuese removing lid, very smooth. Love it. Original review: I'm pleasantly surprised. It does a great job! Very smooth, safe cut. Who knew? That said, it is much slower than a standard electric can opener, and you have no idea where it's cutting. Now I started on the first letter on the product's label, and pay attention to when the circle is complete. Press the "on" button a second time and it goes backwards for a few seconds. Done! Use the attached magnet to pull off the lid. I'm thinking of buying a second one. Also, I very much like that it uses standard batteries, nothing weird to look for. Well done!

Opener leaves wire threads on the rim of the can when opening. Poses a danger if ingested.
Color: Orange
Purchased this item hoping it would make opening cans easier (I have osteoarthritis in my hands). First time I tried it, after it rounded the lid of a can of DelMonte green beans, nothing. I reseated it, and held it down when it started. It opened the can after circling the top two times. When I took the lid off the can, there were tiny wire "threads" stuck on the can, and more stuck on the Kitchen Mama opener. I was able to very carefully wipe the wire threads off and pour the can of beans into my pan. HOWEVER, I will not use this product again. Who wants to run the risk of ingesting wire threads?!!! I would return the product for a refund, but my husband destroyed the box opening it, so this will go into the garbage. I wouldn't sell at a garage sale or donate it, because someone else might ingest the wire threads, and then Kitchen Mama would have a lawsuit on their hands I wouldn't have given ANY stars, but you have to give at least one to write a review.
