We’re big fans of cereus peruvianusm an amazing blue cactus! No one quite knows why the Peruvianus, is blue! It may have adapted to protect itself from the sun or pests, no one is quite sure. It’s certainly eye-catching though!

Blue cactus is very easy to grow and look after - and it grows very fast!  It’s a bold statement piece that will add interest to any room in your house. Once you buy a cactus you will be hooked!

The Cereus likes a bright room but does not put it directly in the sun.  It will look fabulous in a pot on a wooden floor, or in your sitting room as a focal point.  Anywhere really that has good light!

Cacti aren’t difficult to look after and are great houseplants if you’re a beginner to indoor plants.

If you’re buying this wonderful Cactus as a gift, we’ll enclose a handwritten card for free along with the delivery. Just include your gift message at the basket stage of ordering and we’ll do the rest! We’ll leave out the paperwork too!

Blue cactus care level

Cereus is suitable for beginners.

Where should I put this plant?

Blue Cactus likes bright light but not direct sun.

How much water should I give it?

Like most cacti Cereus likes to be watered only when the top 2 inches of soil are dry, and it dislikes being overwatered - think desert plant!

Should I feed this cactus?

You can feed once a month during spring and summer.  We sell our vegan, organic plant food.

Is it suitable if I have pets?

No, cereus can be toxic to pets.

What size is this plant?

H50cm. We recommend one of our seagrass planters to finish the stylish look!

All our plants are supplied in a plastic nursery pot.

Another good Benchmark Atlas
Format: Spiral-bound
We camp frequently and own all of the Benchmark Atlases. Although, this is different due to Canadian laws, we are excited to try it out! Very detailed with information, such as small campgrounds and identifying land ownership (Forest services or BLM)

Fascinating atlas. I am studying the southern part of of BC - retracing previous trips. Haven't been bored yet.

Memories of the Camino
Format: Paperback
First off, I have to say that my husband and I know Angela, the author. We met her because she is a neighbor of my sister, living in Hawaii. We discovered that she planned to walk the Camino de Santiago de Compostela the same year we were (2016) ! On a visit to Hawaii, we met with Angela and did a little local hike together. She was so enthusiastic and had prepared well. We, too, had been reading up and watching videos, getting suggestions as to what to bring, how to deal with physical issues and weather, what to pack and what not to pack, etc. Still, for anyone doing the Camino - whether the WHOLE 500 miles or doing the required 100 km to get the certificate at the final destination: Santiago de Compostela, Spain - it is a very personal endeavor. Reading Angela Leslee's book gives you the personal story of her "camino," and it is captivating. The changes that take place in her life - the discoveries she makes, the people she meets, the failures she feels, the fears, the habits that get broken (such as food choices!) - all make for an adventure that is life-changing and an interesting read. For anyone considering this pilgrimage, because that's what it is, this book will inspire you. You don't need to be part of a "group." You don't need a lot of plans. You do need to be prepared to be changed. The memory for myself and my husband is that it is the best shared experience we have had together in our 50 years of marriage! Angela's book brought back so many wonderful memories for us. I highly recommend this book.

Feeling Inspired!
Format: Paperback
Reading "The Way of Love" has inspired and encouraged me as I plan for my first (solo) Camino. I thank Angela Leslee for being unafraid to bare all the emotions in her book: the joys, victories, setbacks, disappointments, and pain. It's evident that "The Way of Love" was a labor of love as page after page recounts the 500 miles she walked! I told the author in an email that, in September, when I walk my Camino, I'll be sure to be up and out on the trail "...before sunrise when the yellow street lights cast their magical glow." Can't wait to experience that! "The Way of Love" -- easy to read and enjoy.

the good, the bad, the funny, the reality
Format: Kindle
A great memoir of an “older” woman walking the Camino de Santiago alone. Alone but with many friendships along the way.
