The European Beech is a versatile choice that carries slightly smaller leaves than its American cousin (Fagus grandifolia). The species thrives in acidic, well-drained soil and may prefer partial afternoon shade.

• Medium Prebonsai have been pruned back lightly each year to get good branching excessive scarring. They have excellent branching already.
• Large Prebonsai are similar, but usually a year older and will always have caliper that is on the higher end of the range.
