Aeonium arboreum, commonly known as Irish Rose, is a striking subtropical succulent shrub from the Crassulaceae family. It forms elegant rosettes of fleshy leaves on branching stems, creating a sculptural, architectural plant that works beautifully indoors in bright spaces or outdoors in sheltered summer conditions.
Aeoniums thrive in bright light, full sun or partial shade. Plant in free-draining soil and water only once the compost has fully dried out, as they prefer drier conditions. Feed lightly with a balanced houseplant fertiliser once in spring and again in autumn to encourage healthy growth.
