Although optimum minimum temperatures are 60°F, it can tolerate temperatures down to 35°F for short periods. ‘Silas Woods’ is well suited for pot culture as it can easily be maintained at less than 5’ in height while still producing an abundance of fruit.

This Sapodilla variety may need to be supported in earlier years. Silas Wood Sapodilla fruit is spherical, ranging 2 to 4 inches in diameter, with an unassuming pear-like caramel brown skin.
