The Provence planter is one of the newest additions to Botanical Collections' Anise Pottery Collection. While several designs in the collection highlight ornate scalloped rims, the Provence embraces a quieter expression of French garden style, reflecting the rustic charm of traditional countryside vessels.

This planter is distinguished by its sturdy rolled rim, a subtle horizontal band encircling the body, and two small decorative handles, or lugs, that add both character and balance to the form. Its proportions are slightly shorter and wider than some of the more upright styles in the collection, giving the Provence a grounded, architectural presence that works beautifully in both garden settings and interior plant displays.

Each planter is hand-thrown by artisans in the mountains of Honduras using traditional terracotta clay. The naturally weathered finishes and subtle tonal variation evoke the look of timeworn European pottery, making the Provence feel like a well-loved piece discovered at a French garden market.
