This Crassula's broad, ovate leaves bring an elegant silhouette to your succulent collection. With a slight silvery hint to the mid-green colour, it brings both verdant colour and smooth structure to your home. With a good amount of light, the round leaves of this succulent overlap almost like fish scales, and they can gain a red tint in bright sun. All this incredible foliage really makes this plant stand out to any succulent fan. Keep it happy with bright light including a splash of sun, and not too much water, and it will give you more of its sleek, stylish shape.

Scientific Name
Crassula cotyledonis (thick-leaved plant with cup-like leaves)

Synonyms: Globulea cotyledonis, Purgosea cotyledonis

This plant was first classified in 1778 and, despite a few other names being used in the meantime, still has the original as the accepted scientific name.

Common Name(s)
Taylor's Parches, Paddle Succulent, Silver Ripple Jade, Velvet Crassula, Lamb’s Tail

Origin
An African native, this plant is found in the Cape Provinces of South Africa and Namibia.

Light
Make sure this plant gets bright light with some direct sun. Morning or evening sun brings out its silvery sheen, but protect it from harsh midday rays in summer to prevent leaf scorching.

Water
Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Make sure water does not sit in the foliage, and that the soil doesn't stay soggy, as this can cause the plant to rot. In autumn and winter, reduce watering while the plant is not actively growing.

Humidity
Prefers dry, arid conditions. Don't keep it anywhere too damp as this can put it at risk of rot.

Soil
A mix with added sand, grit or perlite will work well for this Crassula; look for one designed for cacti and succulents. Repot every few years as the plant grows, and make sure your pot has drainage holes to help the soil to drain properly.

Food
Feed every couple of months in the spring & summer growing season; you won't need to feed in winter as the plant won't be growing.

Temperature
Ideal temperature is 15-26°C; make sure it does not get colder than 12°C in winter.

Pet-safe
No, this plant is toxic if ingested, so it's best to keep out of reach of curious fingers and claws.

Sprouts Top Tips
If the lower leaves are going yellow and mushy, check the soil and make sure you're letting it dry out between waters. If in doubt, this plant will be easier to revive if you accidentally under-water than if you give it too much, so it's okay to wait a couple of extra days!

Great for a growing kid
Size: Large, Color: Sky Blue, Size: Large, Color: Sky Blue
Good quality for a good price. My teen is outgrowing his medium clothes and into larges so it fit slightly big which I expected but that just means he should be able to wear it to his fall dance as well. Nice material, not see through at all even after dancing all night and sweating. Exact color blue as pictured. Very happy over all.

Great shirt for the price.
Size: 4X-Large Big Tall, Color: Sky Blue
Shirt fit perfectly and was true to size. The material seems to be of a good quality for the price, and it is surprisingly light weight when worn. I use these as daily shirts, and have only used it once so far. Did well after washing and required little to no ironing out of the dryer. Very impressed with the item so far.

Perfect for my teenage son.
Size: Small, Color: Blue White Pinstripe
My son has worn this shirt many times to temple for bar mitzvah services. It’s soft doesn’t wrinkle easily and very comfortable for him to wear. He receives many compliments on it. This is a relatively thin shirt sizing was accurate. Fabric is what I would consider Nice quality. Color is spot on.

Surprising quality for such a cheap item
Size: 4X-Large Big Tall, Color: Navy White Diamond Geo
Surprisingly good fit. The material is a bit thin and if you're wearing it on a cold day, I would recommend an undershirt. The collars could use a good starching for a more modern look. As it stands with an open jacket, the large collar makes it look a little dated. If you have 20 dollars and need a shirt you could certainly do worse.
