In habitat, often only these windows are visible above the quartz sand. Requires bright light to prevent stretching of the leaves. Somewhat frost tolerant, but protection is advisable to prevent scarring. Excellent in a pot or with multiples.

Porous soil with excellent drainage (extra pumice or perlite recommended)
Provide bright light with ample airflow
Water thoroughly when soil is completely dry to the touch (will not tolerate waterlogged soils)
