Wildflower Seed Mix for Bees and Pollinators

This is not your average seed mix. This is a blend specifically designed for honeybees that will bloom for a long time and includes an incredible blend of viable seeds. No filler here. So if you are planting for bees, go no further.

Help bees and pollinators thrive with a custom flower seed mix. This high-quality mix is specially crafted for Northern and Southern States, featuring a blend of 3 native grass species, 17 native wildflower species, and 2 introduced forb species, adapting to local ecosystem conditions and the availability of certain species.

It supports important pollinators like butterflies and hummingbirds. Additionally, it highlights the importance of honey bee populations and helps support them.

Perfect for dry to medium soil moisture, it ensures year-round blooms and provides essential forage for pollinators. Watch your garden transform into a vibrant, pollinator-friendly haven that benefits the environment and delights with changing colors through the seasons.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Diverse Species Mix: Includes 3 native grasses, 17 wildflowers, and 2 forbs; ensures a variety of blooms throughout the year, providing a mix of nectar and pollen.

  • Full Sun: Optimized for total sun exposure; perfect for sunny spots in your garden or landscape.

  • Adaptable Soil Moisture: Suitable for dry to medium moisture soils; flexible for different site conditions.

  • Year-Round Blooms: Provides continuous forage for pollinators; enjoy flowers from spring through fall.

  • Essential Nectar and Pollen: Supplies vital nectar and pollen for various pollinators, including bees and butterflies, supporting their populations throughout the year.

  • Calculated Seeding Rate: 7.50-10.90 PLS (Pure Live Seed) lbs/acre; ensures optimal establishment and growth.

Usage Instructions

To get the best results, sow the wildflower seed mix in the early spring or the fall. Prepare the soil by removing weeds and lightly tilling the surface. Sow the seeds evenly and gently rake them into the soil or gently walk on them to press them down. Water thoroughly and keep the soil moist until the seeds germinate.

One great tip for broadcasting the seed is to mix some sand with it so you can see where you have tossed the seat and where you have not. Fall is the best time of the year to plant, as the seeds will go through a cold period, which is required for germination. You can plant in the spring, but some seeds will not sprout until the following spring.

For best results, sow in early spring or fall. This mix thrives in full sun and dry to medium moisture soils.

Detailed Description

The wildflower mix is a premium blend that supports bees and other pollinators. This mix is part of scientifically formulated blends designed to support pollinator populations. It includes carefully calculating species selection, factoring in seeds per pound, and establishing parameters. It features three native grass species, 17 native wildflower species, and 2 introduced forb species.

These species are chosen for their ability to thrive in dry to medium soil moisture and full sun conditions, ensuring a colorful and varied display throughout the growing season. This mix also supports wildlife by creating habitats for various species.

These high-quality seeds are free from fillers, ensuring every ounce is packed with viable seeds ready to grow. This mix is perfect for creating a sustainable pollinator habitat. You don't pay for empty seeds, dead seeds, leaves, stems, dirt, weed seeds, or any other contaminants that others might include in bulk weight pricing. With PLS weight, you only pay for viable seed, which can make a significant difference.

Good on Review Short on Direct Experience
It is an extensive review of the literature on rise and fall of civilizations with observations on our's. Extremely well footnoted and referenced it however suffers from the author appearing to have little direct primary experience in the study of his topic. Nonetheless there is good information here and substantiation of the notion that cultures come and go, frequently going as a result of the lack of capacity necessary to change group behavior in response to certain challenges. He presents compelling evidence that those overwhelming challenges often revolve around irrational and compulsive exploitation of natural resources. Sadly I share the author's pessimism in regard to our global culture being likely to respond adequately to the ongoing destruction of our livable earthly environment. I fear the planet is headed for a massive kill off in the disturbingly near future.

I hate to be the kind of person preaching on Doom's ...
This is an impressive quick read. I hate to be the kind of person preaching on Doom's Day, but I do find the definition of progress to be a multi-faceted, direct correlation to humanity, or as this book challenges, inversely related. As Le Corbusier once stated in Towards a New Architecture, "[Progress is] the study of minute points pushed to its limits." I think that we forget that limits do exist. On a sustainability level, we seem to forget that growth is bound to a carrying capacity which is only a constant. We exceed limits in population, in wealth, in energy consumption, and we are doing so blindly because we believe we are progressing. This is the first that I heard the term "progress traps" (which I think Wright may have coined himself), and I believe we seem to fall under the impression that distilling or expanding our limitations is an ultimate form of progress, when in fact, its lack in sustainability will only push us back. If you have the time, it's a pretty quick and enlightening read. If you are still on the fence with the concepts discussed in the book, I recommend finding it at a local library before committing to buy. For me, I recommend it. Also, if you are interested, there is a documentary based on this book called "Surviving Progress" (2011). I prefer the book so much more, but the documentary wasn't that bad.

Format: Audiobook
for honest review. I bought this bible Because it was suggested on a YouTube video and since I do collect bibles from all religions and times of history to keep my mind open to what people think , believe and are going through in those time. I was very interested to read . I found that there was alot that people may also not see that it did give them a blue print to the father even though it taught through slavery, it also for someone learning to read it gave the a direction to start to learn what it was to be saved in gods eyes . even though yes it was alot of thing left out even today Catholic bibles are the same with structure to what they what to preach. as the jewsish bible leaves out the new testament and others groups leave out gods messages .this is why I believe that you should never ever stop learning what other religion or faith of people believe since its just another piece of the puzzle to know gods words and lessons in our knowledge to know who we are as a person and or knowledge to know who god is and his lessons and teaching . so my thoughts that know matter your race or religious background should read this book and also put yourself into the times when this was written and what the people went through and gave up because they also had to gave up there beliefs that was taught from their homelands in order to please the people that they served. I will give this a 10 stars for the fact that is gods messages but even though it used in a way to hold a group of people inslaved I believe we as a people not a race are all held back when it comes to knowing gods words and until we are walking with god so we can ask him ourselves we are all still lost souls looking for direction were to go.
