A cross between two dramatic climbing philodendrons. Philodendron 'Florida Beauty' — the variegated form of the squamiferum × pedatum Florida hybrid — contributes its multi-lobed, dissected leaf architecture and bold cream-to-yellow variegation, along with bristly petioles. Philodendron mayoi, the Brazilian climber, brings its deeply pinnately lobed, palm-like leaf form with broad rounded lobes. The cross integrates these two lobing systems into a hybrid leaf form that is rounder than pure Florida and more dissected than pure mayoi, carrying the Florida Beauty variegation across the restructured leaf shape. Variegation is unpredictable across successive leaves.

• Light: Bright indirect light is critical for maintaining the variegation — the cream and yellow sectors require good light, and insufficient light causes reversion toward green. Avoid direct sun which scorches the lighter sectors.
