  This is a strong and steady grower. Instead of producing long stolons, S. heuffelii varieties multiply by division, with the mother rosette gradually forming a dense cluster of new rosettes. These can be carefully cut apart and transplanted or left to form a compact mound. Mature rosettes will bloom after several years, sending up a central flower stalk.
