Sowing Instructions

DIRECT SOW ABOUT 4 WEEKS BEFORE LAST FROST

Starting Indoors

DO NOT SOW INDOORS

Growing Tips

Radishes can be sown directly into the garden about four weeks before last frost, then again in late summer for a fall crop. In warmer climates, sow radish seeds in the fall only. We recommend a continuous planting every two weeks to keep fresh radishes on the table most of the season.

Fall crops should be planted about 8 weeks before the first anticipated fall frost.

Culinary Uses

Radishes usually are not at the top of anyone’s list when going to the grocery store. They are a great vegetable to experiment with.

Radishes can be pickled, roasted in the oven, grilled, sautéed, or simply harvest their greens and use those. The entire plant is edible and loaded with nutrients.

Harvesting Crops

Cherry Belle Radishes are a quick grower and simple to harvest. Wait until the radishes are about 1” in diameter and turn the soil over to expose them. They are also very easily pulled out of the soil from the stalk. This variety stores quite a while in a refrigerator.

Harvesting Seed

All radishes risk cross pollination with other radish varieties. In order to protect genetic purity, radishes must be isolated within a half mile of other varieties. (This may not be possible if you are in a neighborhood with many gardens). We suggest simply making sure that you do not plant other varieties in your own garden.

Once the plant fully matures, you will see a flowering stalk form. After the seed pods has grown, allow it to turn brown before picking. Once picked, dry the seed pods for a couple weeks. Open the seed pods by hand or by crushing them in your hands. Save the seeds in a cool dry place. Radish seeds are usually viable for 5 years depending on your storage methods.

Great toy

My two dogs love to play with this. I bought the biggest size, I have 60lb boxer and 100lb malamute and it has been durable for them to play with. You can also stuff it with treats. If you bring it in the house make sure to rinse it off because it traps dirt in it.

Indestructible!
Size: 7" XL-Large
I’ve bought his for my 6 month old pup as he’s teething bad! So far it’s been the best chew toy ever! I love that I’m able to put treats inside it so he can play with it longer. Love the cute pineapple design! Almost had it for a week and it’s holding up so well! Well worth the price!

Pineapple sunshine

Reviewing this after nearly 4 years. I got this for my dog (sadly has passed away), and this was one of her favorite toys. It didn't squeak but the shape and size was what she loved. Big enough she could chomp on in it and I didn't need to worry about her choking. Small enough she could carry it in her mouth when she wanted to play. This is a durable rubber/rubber-like material, I'd compare it to Kong toys, excellent for a dog who loves to chew and needs a toy that can endure their bite.
