Plant Care

Light: Place in bright, indirect light indoors. Variegated Rainbow Jade thrives with at least 4-6 hours of sunlight per day. It can tolerate some direct sunlight, especially in the morning or late afternoon, but protect from intense midday sun to prevent leaf burn.

Watering: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil feels dry during active growth (spring and summer). Reduce watering in winter when growth slows, but do not let the soil dry out completely.

Soil: Use a well-draining succulent or cactus potting mix. Ensure the pot has drainage holes to prevent waterlogging, which can lead to root rot.

Temperature: Variegated Rainbow Jade prefers average room temperatures between 65-75°F (18-24°C). Protect from drafts and sudden temperature fluctuations.

Humidity: Normal indoor humidity levels are generally suitable. Avoid placing near overly humid areas or sources of moisture.

Fertilizer: Feed sparingly with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half-strength once a month during the growing season (spring and summer). Avoid fertilizing in winter.

Pruning: Trim off any dead or yellowing leaves as needed to maintain a tidy appearance and promote air circulation around the plant.

Propagation: Propagate from stem or leaf cuttings. Allow cuttings to callous over for a day or two before planting in well-draining soil.

Pests: Monitor for common succulent pests such as mealybugs or spider mites. Treat infestations promptly with insecticidal soap or neem oil.

Not ultra dense, but very soft and cozy

This is a really nice throw. It’s very soft and cozy, and for the price, I think it’s a great value. I like the sewn-in label too. It gives it a slightly more high-end look compared to the more generic fuzzy blankets you see everywhere now. The texture is a little different from some faux fur blankets I’ve had. It’s not that super dense, ultra-short type where you can’t really see the fibers. This one has a bit more length to the pile, so you can see the strands more. It’s more like a thicker but slightly airy kind of softness, and it’s really nice on my skin. It’s really, really cozy to snuggle up with. 👋 One thing I always recommend with blankets like this—no matter the brand—is do not put it in the dryer. Even on low, the heat and tumbling will start to change the texture. If you want it to stay as soft as it is when you first get it, wash it gently and let it air dry. The reason is all faux fur is made from very fine synthetic fibers (basically plastic). Even low heat and the tumbling action can cause those fibers to start to stiffen, flatten, or slightly melt together over time. Once that happens, it loses that soft, fluffy texture and you can’t really get it back. I think this would make a great gift, and it’s hard to find a faux fur blanket this soft at this price point. Five stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The inner side is very soft. It's comfortable to use, and for us, did not trigger any sensory issues. It's got a decent weight for a throw, but isn't obnoxious about it. This throw is enough to keep warm without overheating. At the current price of $39.99, it seems like a good deal. I did remove 1 star for the weird coating, but will update as appropriate.
