Twice a year, the women from this community venture off to the hills to extract rocks for their creations. The process involves using a rock on the floor as a base and the delicacy of the artisan's hands to carefully mold each design. The final details are added using piece of maiz and jícara. Lastly, the products are taken to a wood oven where they are baked for 8 hours.

• Dimensions of pig: Approximately 7.5 inches long x 3.5 inches tall x 4 inches width.
