- Cyrtostachys renda, commonly called lipstick palm or sealing wax palm, is a tropical palm that is native to swampy rain forest areas of the Malaysian peninsula, Indonesia and Borneo. It is perhaps best known for its glossy scarlet red crown shafts and leaf stalks which bring stunning accent and contrast to landscapes or indoor areas.
- Common names are in reference to the red coloration. In the wild, this palm will grow to 12-15’ tall. Pinnate leaves to 4-5’ long are deep green above and gray-green underneath. Small greenish white flowers in panicles bloom in summer.

The difference between 16 oz. and 18 oz. is hard to detect.

These bowls don't appear to be 18 oz. In fact, they look like they're smaller than my "paper" 16 oz. bowls. Perhaps they are deeper. Still, when I put food in them, they hold pretty much what the paper 16 oz. ones do. I chose them, again because I thought I made a mistake previously to this order. I wanted the sugar cane, heavy duty, microwavable bowls that these are advertised to be. Everything is as described except the size. I'll have to make note that I shouldn't buy these because the oz.'s advertised will persuade one to buy them.
