Our ready-to-use grow poles are made from coconut coir to help support the growth of your houseplants and are suitable for any vining plants like Monstera, Pothos or Philodendrons.

A grow pole serves as a fake tree, encouraging a more natural-looking vertical growth in houseplants and beautiful, large aerial roots.

A grow pole can also help trigger the development of larger, more mature leaves and fenestrations (plants making holes or clear parts in their leaves, like the Cheese plant or Monstera deliciosa) as the plant grows taller.

How to Use a Houseplant Grow Pole

  • Select a grow pole taller than your plant and soak it well after purchase; it will help your plant bind to the grow pole.
  • Insert the grow pole firmly into the potting soil, positioning it so that the moss pole is as close to the base of the plant as possible while taking care not to break the plant stems or delicate root system.
  • Wrap the plant carefully around the grow pole; dont worry about the direction of the leaves too much; they will naturally find space and move to the light over the next few days.
  • Use twine to secure the plant to the grow pole. The vines are easily damaged, so don't tie them to the moss pole too tightly.
  • Look for each node of the plant (where the leaves meet the stem) and make sure they make good contact - this is where roots will form and grow into the moss pole. Ariel roots look attractive but also encourage those large leaves and good growth we want.
  • Spray your grow pole regularly, and as the plant grows and naturally fixes itself to the pole, you can remove the twine.

Recommended for Small, Mellower Dogs, not the destructive, chewy kind
Color: Blue, Color: Blue
My dog loved this ball, maybe a little too much. He attacked it like it was a wild animal and left teeth marks and tears in the outer plastic. I decided to give it to my cats instead, who initially were very intrigued by it. The buff kitty even chirped to see it. He would roll around with it as it vibrated and hopped, but after a while he wasn’t that interested. I think I can get them to play with it if I don’t use it with them every day, maybe wait a few weeks between playtimes. Perhaps it is a little too large for cats. My dog, who is less than 30 lbs., might be too big for it, or maybe just his mouth is, or maybe because he’s a Boston Terrier and he always feels like it’s his duty to destroy all toys (all my Bostons were like that). But I don’t think I will let him have it again. Maybe a toy breed or puppy might be more of the appropriate size for this ball. Or someone who isn’t as destructive. The instructions are almost unreadable because the text is so small. I couldn’t understand what I was supposed to do with the “installation process.” I did figure out how to turn it on and off by myself, however. There are four modes when it is on: gentle, normal, active, and lighting only (no vibration). As a human, it is a fun thing to watch, even if it is just for the light show.

Battery so so
Each charge doesn’t last very long, but my dog likes it when it does.

SMELLS MUSTY
Opened it up for our pup on his bday and it smelled like pure mold. We had to throw it out because it was just terrible smelling and we didn't want our pup to even put it in his mouth!
