If kept sealed, the terrarium needs very little attention. When watering, remove the cork and use a mister to spray over the top of the plants - this will only need to be done if the humidity level is low.
Whatever you do, don't pour water directly into the terrarium because this will not allow for even distribution and may cause a muddy splash! If the glass often becomes foggy, the humidity level may be too high, so allow the terrarium to breathe by removing the lid for a couple of hours per day.
This terrarium also includes an LED light in the lid which illuminates the plants inside - an excellent feature and a fabulous addition to any home.
