Step into the dark, twisted world of the Monsters and Muses series by USA Today bestselling author Sav R. Miller. This series delivers a breathtaking mix of obsession, danger, and passion, making them essential for fans of dark romance and myth-inspired love stories.

Book Blurb:

Book 1 - Promises and Pomegranates:

She's the sweetest sin he's ever committed...

Doctor Kal Anderson assumes his heart worked at some point. But now his cold, emotionless existence gives him an edge as a fixer and in-house physician for the Mafia, while his judgment is impartial and complication-free.

Until Elena Ricci, his boss's twenty-year-old daughter.

After admiring the heartless doctor from afar most of her life, Elena catches him in a moment of weakness, and the pair shares a night of passion as they attempt to work each other from their systems. Only, the night seems to have the opposite effect. Elena is no longer a simple temptation to Kal, but a necessity.

An obsession.

One he won't let anyone stand in his way of―even if that means crashing her wedding to another man, forcing her hand in marriage, and stealing her away to the corrupt island he resides on.

Alone with the man of her nightmares, Elena starts to chip away at the layers of ice surrounding his hardened heart. But the warmth and depravity from her new husband may not be worth the secrets unveiled, or the lives that will forever be altered.

Book 2 - Vipers and Virtuosos:

He'll go to Hell and back for her.

Riley Kelly didn't come to New York City with the hope of changing her life. After a vicious assault left her scarred and deeply traumatized, all she really craves is normalcy.

Enter rock star Aiden James, the complete opposite of normal. When he's not playing sold-out arenas, he's working on the next hit album and dodging the paparazzi. His happiness, however, has always taken a back seat. The one shred of secrecy left in his life is his dark, tragic past, and his infamous family prefers to keep it that way.

Only, when Riley catches his eye at a fundraiser in the city, he can't stop himself as obsession takes root. Her blue eyes and peppermint scent are all he can think about, even after their one encounter takes an unfortunate turn.

Suddenly, his dream girl is a malicious ghost.

Now, Aiden's on a mission to track her down and make her pay for ruining his career. Even if it means abandoning his life to make hers completely miserable. Even if it means breaking every rule to make her his…

Book 3 - Oaths and Omissions:

Some women are worth waging wars over.

Lenny Primrose has lived her entire life as her rich father's puppet. Now, at twenty-three, she's no longer interested in playing his games. Unfortunately, the only way to avoid being married off to one of her father's business partners is to involve the man he fears most: the British assassin who almost killed him.

Jonas Wolfe would be content to never be in the same room as a Primrose ever again. His days are filled with contracted murder and running his pub―anything to keep from sitting around thinking about his one failed mission.

But when Lenny commits a rash crime, Jonas steps in to help, and extracting himself from her family becomes impossible. Especially when she bats her pretty green eyes, proposing a fake relationship that she vows will benefit them both.

Interested in improving his public image, Jonas agrees, and it isn't long before lingering looks become scorching hot kisses. But even as the two grow closer and bond over their common enemy and undeniable chemistry, Lenny still remains distant and closed-off. Turns out she's keeping a horrible secret…one that threatens to tear everything they've built together apart.

Book 4 - Arrows and Apologies:

Mayor Alistair Wolfe had one job: hire a new assistant.

Preferably, someone who would look good in the position and not cause any scandals. At least, that’s what the criminals funding his career want.

He definitely wasn’t supposed to blackmail his one-night stand into working for him. Especially considering that she’s a blue-haired, tattooed thief with an attitude.

Cora Astor wasn’t looking for a relationship. She wasn’t even really looking for a job, but having an in with the mayor of the island where her brother went missing seemed like a good idea.

She didn’t expect her new boss to be the hot, British stranger she hooked up with the night before her interview, or for him to be so brazen with his desires. Now, despite her disdain for the dirty politician, she’s entwined their lives so tight that escape seems unlikely.

Not that he’d let her go without a good chase.

Book 5 - Souls and Sorrows:

Cash Primrose takes his namesake seriously. As a successful environmental lawyer, work is his focus, and he has no room on his plate for anything else. That is, until an ex-ballerina gets herself into a bind at an underground auction, and he becomes so enamored with her that he ends up placing a bid.

A quarter of a billion dollars later, and suddenly Cash is married to more than just his career. Not to mention, his new wife is a complete nightmare.

As the middle daughter of a once-prominent crime family, and her mother’s former punching bag, Ariana Ricci is no stranger to grappling for control. She relies on seduction and violence to get what she wants, and thinks her new husband will be just as easy to manipulate as the men she’s used to dealing with.

Only, Cash is different. He won’t touch Ariana, doesn’t retaliate when she lashes out in anger, and, in spite of their temporary status, sticks up for her when he could just let her get into trouble.

He isn’t exactly kind, but perhaps the stoic, secretive lawyer is precisely what she needs to start healing once and for all.

Book 6 - Liars and Liaisons:

Kissing a masked stranger wasn’t on Violet Artinos’s list of things she thought would happen at her cousin’s political fundraiser. In fact, her plan was simply to show support, win back the ex-boyfriend rumored to be in attendance, and go on with her off-grid life.

She never would’ve made a move on the stranger if she’d known he wasn’t who she thought, but her ex’s younger brother had other plans.

Out in public for the first time in weeks, Professor Grayson James has his sights set on revenge. When he spots Violet, he immediately ropes her into his plot by kissing and blackmailing her to live at his haunted estate.

He claims it’ll drive his brother mad, but the truth turns out to be more complicated than they ever imagined. Suddenly, Violet’s life of secrets is unraveling at the hands of a dark, depraved man who seems to have no intentions of letting her go.

But his obsession might be exactly what puts her in danger.

A Truly Ergonomic Mouse
Number of Items: 1
Other not completely flat mice claim to be "ergonomic", but the only way to completely remove stress from your forearm when using a mouse is with a "vertical" mouse. My 2020 K75575WW Kensington ergonomic vertical mouse developed a problem with the left button "stuttering" so that it sent multiple button clicks when pressed just once. I liked the Kensington quite a bit. But it always just a little bit on the "not quite as solid as I would like" side, and failing after just 2.5 years confirmed this. So I wanted a more solidly build mouse. A search for "ergonomic mouse review" showed that the Logitech MX Master 3S was clearly the best ergonomic mouse available. At $100 it was several times more expensive as others including the latest Kensington vertical mouse. But sometimes furgal doesn't mean the least expensive. Sometimes it can mean the most expensive if that comes with better performance, features and lifespan. So I ordered it. And while it is indeed an incredible mouse, the angle is only about 20 degrees. The result is that while there is some reduction in forearm stress compared to a flat mouse, it wasn't enough for me. By the end of my very long days driving my mouse almost as much as I drive my keyboard, I could feel the tension building up in my forearm. So after a week I returned it and bought this Logitech MX Vertical. It is slightly less expensive than the MX Master 3S, but still much more expensive relative to other options. And while it is lighter and a little less substantial feeling in my hand than the MX Master 3S, it still feels very firm and solid. Most importantly keeps my hand in the neutral position with my fingers at about 70 degrees. A great feature of the MX Vertical shares with the MX Master 3S is the thumb rest. The Kensington didn't have this and so my thumb rested on the desktop. If it was a bit warm and my hands would sweat my thumb wouldn't slide smoothly and I would have to lift my thumb off the desk when I went to move the mouse. Not a horrible thing, but if you spend 8+ hours mousing around it gets tiresome. The button clicks are crisp. Best of all when the button bottoms out it feels like it is pressing against the case. It doesn't feel like travel is being limited by the switch itself bottoming out like the Kensington felt like it did. My hope is that this will keep the switch from wearing out so fast as happened with the Kensington. One slight negative of the MX Vertical is that I don't feel like I am quite as accurate in being able to move the cursor to a specific spot on the screen without some amount of conscious effort. Instead it doesn't go exactly in the direction I intended and overshoots where wanted it to stop. As such it might not make the best mouse for video games. [UPDATE: There is a bit of a learning curve in moving the mouse accurately. In the last couple weeks my need to make a more conscious effort to move the mouse to a specific spot on the screen is going down. Still think it is likely to not be as accurate as a flater mouse]

Great mouse
Number of Items: 1
Definitely reduces fatigue. Easy to use. Great response with less space needed for mouse movement. Stays charged for months you actually forget to charge it, ask me how I know :). I play video games with it and never have any issues with the movement and response time of mouse. And since my car wreck where I broke my thumb this is the only mouse that gave me the same as before the wreck abilities to move and operate the mouse. Highly recommend. One very broken thumbs up :)

Experience after one year of usage
Number of Items: 1
I had mainly used a MX Master 2S before this and because of my heavy usage I did start to feel uncomfortable after a few hours of use every day and that's when I decided to purchase MX Vertical. Now after almost 9 months of usage this has become the mouse I use on a daily basis, completely replacing MX Master 2S. Comfort: It took me about a day or two to really get used to using it because of the positioning and ever since then my wrist has never felt any discomfort, literally. I don't have a mouse pad but because of the angle that my wrist is contact with the desk when I use it, this has never been a problem. What I also love about the ergonomic design is that my hand can actually just rest on it when not doing specific tasks, and it just fits my palm perfectly. Functionality: I don't use it for gaming so I can't comment on that. However, comparing it with my Master 2S, there are some very obvious disadvantages. If you use Excel sheets a lot, or anything that requires horizontal viewing, the scrolling option is terrible. You can set up the function key on Logi Options+ and I use the side buttons for scroll right+left mainly because how easy it was to use with the Master 2S's side scrolling buttons. It is not comparable at all. With Master 2s, horizontal scrolling is smooth and precise. With this, it's basically useless. There are sites that just aren't responsive to the side buttons and when they do, you can never get to the precise point you want. Huge disappointment with that because I don't really use the side buttons for anything else. There is also no scrolling control with the middle button unlike the Master 2S, so you can't really scroll vertically as fast as you can when using Master 2S either. However I do use the middle button sometimes to just do the job for me so I'm ok with its basic functionality. The top button is mainly used as a look-up button for me, so far its working pretty well and honestly it probably makes not much difference if they just completely take this button out for me. Maybe some people can find use in it as a switch for scrolling or mouse speed, or something else. Overall, the customizability of these buttons is very good, and depending on personal use, I can see it being very useful. Battery life: Battery life is fantastic, never had any problem with it yet. I haven't really kept track but with my heavy daily usage (probably 10+ hours with no intense gaming), it can usually go for more than a month. You can also use it while it's being charged. Durability: I have unfortunately knocked it over the desk a couple times on hard vinyl floor and there seems to be no problem with it at all. Before purchasing this I saw some comments about how it stopped functioning after being dropped to the floor and I was really worried about it. However that is not my case at all. It is very durable in my opinion and does its job perfectly even after dropping it a few times. Overall, extremely comfortable to use. It helped with my wrist pain tremendously and now I use it for hours without feeling any discomfort. The functionality is severely disadvantageous compared to Master 2s and 3s, and possibly other gaming mouses as well, but if you are here because of wrist pain, this is the right product.

Finally, a comfortable vertical mouse for guys with large hands!
Number of Items: 1
I've been using the Logitech MX Vertical Wireless Mouse for about 8 years now, and I love it. Any time I have to use a traditional mouse it's an uncomfortable disappointment. If you haven't used a vertical mouse yet, there are a couple things you need to know. First - this is just a normal mouse, but it's turned about 60-degrees to the right. This let's your hand rest on the mouse in the natural position your arm wants it to be in without any effort to rotate. Second - you will knock it over, repeatedly, for a few weeks. Because you're used to a mouse that's a just an inch and a half or so tall, your natural movement from keyboard to mouse is going to be interrupted by the height of the MX Vertical. In time, you will get used to this, but for a week or two, you will knock it over when moving to the mouse, and when moving back to the keyboard. Don't worry, your muscle memory will change and this will stop. Third - once you get used to using the MX Vertical, you won't want to use any other mouse. It's a dramatic change in ergonomics, and you will feel the strain your wrist and forearm are under any time you have to use a traditional mouse. There are other verticals that are also great, but as a guy with large hands, this is the best I've found. I have 4 of these now - one at my office, one at my dining room table, one at my desk, and one that travels in my backpack. I don't need all of these, but its handy having them where I need them. Another reason for this is the mouse can pair with 3 devices. I have different devices in each of these locations, so it's handy not having to re-pair when I move between locations. The MX Vertical fits my hand perfect, and all buttons are where my fingers and thumb are naturally positioned. I've dropped them, knocked them down, bumped and tossed them and they keep on working properly, so from a durability standpoint, this will last. It's easy to pair with a push of a button - working with my Windows computers, MacBook, android phone and iPad. This thing just works great! The only downside I'd mention is the coating. After a couple of years, the coating tends to migrate where you apply pressure. This is most apparent where the thumb and pinky finger rest. This doesn't cause any functional issues, and is entirely cosmetic, but just be aware that after a couple years it won't look pristine. All-in-all, this is the vertical mouse to buy if you're a guy with larger hands. Get one, get used to it, and you won't regret it.
