The Organic Monarch Butterfly Wildflower Mix is specially curated to create a vibrant and diverse habitat for Monarch butterflies and other pollinators. This mix includes a variety of annuals and perennials, providing continuous blooms from spring to fall, ensuring that your garden is a haven for these beautiful creatures. The selected species are known for their nectar-rich flowers, attracting not only Monarchs but also bees, hummingbirds, and other beneficial insects.

Some of the flowers in the mix!

  1. Annual Candytuft (Iberis umbellata): This charming plant produces clusters of delicate, sweet-smelling flowers in shades of white, pink, and purple. It blooms early in the season, offering nectar when few other plants are in flower.

  2. Siberian Wallflower (Cheiranthus allionii): Bright orange flowers add a splash of color and a rich fragrance to your garden. These cold-hardy plants are among the first to bloom in spring, providing essential early-season nectar.

  3. Rocket Larkspur (Delphinium consolida): Tall spikes of blue, pink, and white flowers add height and drama to your garden. Larkspur attracts a variety of pollinators with its abundant nectar.

  4. Purple Coneflower (Echinacea purpurea): A pollinator favorite, this hardy perennial produces large, daisy-like flowers with prominent cone centers. Purple coneflower is a must-have for any butterfly garden.

  5. Indian Blanket (Gaillardia pulchella): These vibrant, red-and-yellow flowers bloom all summer long, providing a consistent source of nectar. Indian Blanket is drought-tolerant and thrives in hot, sunny spots.

  6. Zinnia 'Dahlia Flowered Mix': This mix offers large, double blooms in a rainbow of colors. Zinnias are easy to grow and provide an endless supply of nectar, making them irresistible to butterflies.

  7. Gayfeather (Liatris spicata): Also known as Blazing Star, this native perennial produces tall spikes of purple flowers that are a magnet for Monarchs and other pollinators.

  8. French 'Naughty Marietta' Marigold (Tagetes patula): Bright yellow flowers with red centers provide a burst of color and act as a companion plant, repelling pests naturally while attracting beneficial insects.

  9. Cosmos 'Sensation Mix' (Cosmos bipinnatus): Tall, airy plants with daisy-like flowers in shades of pink, white, and purple. Cosmos are drought-tolerant and bloom profusely, attracting butterflies all season long.

  10. Sulphur 'Bright Lights' Cosmos (Cosmos sulphureus): With vivid orange and yellow flowers, this variety of cosmos brings warmth and brightness to your garden. It thrives in poor soils and full sun.

  11. Mexican Sunflower (Tithonia rotundifolia): Large, bright orange flowers atop sturdy stems make Mexican Sunflower a standout in any garden. It’s a favorite of Monarchs and other butterflies.

  12. Hoary Vervain (Verbena stricta): This native wildflower produces spikes of small, violet flowers that bloom from summer to fall, offering a late-season nectar source for Monarchs.

  13. Smooth Aster (Aster laevis): This late-blooming perennial produces masses of pale lavender flowers, providing crucial nectar as Monarchs prepare for their migration.

  14. Butterfly Milkweed (Asclepias tuberosa): A cornerstone of any Monarch garden, Butterfly Milkweed not only provides nectar but is also a host plant for Monarch caterpillars. Its bright orange flowers are a beacon for butterflies.

Why Choose the Organic Monarch Butterfly Wildflower Mix?

  • Support Monarch Butterflies: Create a habitat that supports the entire life cycle of Monarch butterflies, from caterpillar to adult.
  • Continuous Blooms: Enjoy a garden that blooms from early spring to late fall, providing a constant food source for pollinators.
  • Low Maintenance: These hardy wildflowers are easy to grow, drought-tolerant, and thrive in a variety of soil conditions.
  • Certified Organic: Our seeds are 100% organic, non-GMO, and grown without synthetic chemicals, ensuring a safe and natural garden environment.
  • Enhance Biodiversity: Attract a wide range of pollinators and beneficial insects, contributing to a healthy, balanced ecosystem.

Planting Instructions

  • When to Plant: Direct sow in spring after the last frost or start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost date.
  • Soil Preparation: Choose a sunny location with well-drained soil. Mix compost or organic matter into the soil to improve fertility.
  • Planting Depth: Sow seeds on the soil surface and lightly press them in, ensuring good seed-to-soil contact. Do not cover, as most wildflower seeds need light to germinate.
  • Watering: Keep the soil moist until seedlings are established. After that, these wildflowers require minimal watering.
  • Care: Deadhead spent flowers to encourage more blooms. Cut back perennials in late fall to prepare for next year’s growth.

Nice vest at a good value
Color: Black, Size: Large
Nice vest out of the bag. Fit is good. I’m 5’10” 200lbs with a bit of a beer belly. I’m not muscular at all. Use that description as a comparison to your own body. I can’t speak to the overall quality and how long it will last but for my use going to a black tie gala this is a really nice vest. Happy with my purchase.

Mixed Review. Let me explain.
Color: Black, Size: Large
I ordered both the light gray and black vests in Large. Each one was delivered separately, not sure why, but a day or to late on one was no big deal. I got the gray vest on time. Label reads "COOFANDY." Fits perfectly. The black vest arrived late. Label reads "PAUL JONES Since 1958." Vest was too small. A different material was used on the back section of the vest, which is common, but not what I wanted. The gray vest was constructed of the same material used on the front. I'm not sure if this was a packing error or what, but I returned the black vest for a refund. The verdict: Great, well-constructed, true fit vest with the COOFANDY label. Not so well-constructed (a couple of the button holes had loose threads), small fit vest with the PAUL JONES label. Be sure to check that label. Five stars for the COOFANDY minus two stars for the goofed-up quality control of the seller.
