In South Africa they call it "elephant food". Picture a herd of huge, dusty elephants stomping around these pretty, bunchy bushes, tearing up trunkfuls and stuffing them into their mouths, trumpeting and yelling! Not exactly the gentle, pampered, rainforest nurturing most of our plants enjoy in our greenhouses. Thick, little, roundo jade leaves in lustrous emerald green attach to fleshy, succulent, burgundy stems that age to shaggy, grey, mini branches, like mini bonsai trees. This Minima version is a truly dwarf variety that will trail so nicely in a pot or hanging basket, heading over the edge of wherever you have it. Almost indestructible (with all those elephants around) the only way to damage it is to bless it with too much water. Very interesting hanging around with houseplants, it kindof has the look of a real exotic Hoya or something. Flowers are lovely clouds of either pink or white sprays of stars all over the plant, so attactive to bees (but not inside). You'll like him!

  • Drought Tolerant
  • Low Maintenance
  • Pet Friendly

Quick Care Guide:

    • Water - Low (1):  Needs very little water to survive. Wait until the plant is completely dry then fully soak. Drought tolerant by nature.
    • High - (5):  Plant needs a lot of light; direct is even better. These plants do best when placed on a window sill or next to a bright window. Avoid concentrated, hot light from window which may cause burning (magnifying glass effect).
    • Difficulty - Low (1):  These plants need barely any attention to thrive. Set it and forget it.

    Down Home Blues
    Format: Paperback
Magic City remains, perhaps, my favorite volume out of Yusef Komunyakaa's distinguished body of work. With his characteristic blues and jazz-inflected lyricism, Komunyakaa revisits the harrowing violence and racism of the deep south as viewed through a piercingly translucent prism of personal memory. The poems making up this volume are in many respects a poetry of witness, and the eyes through which which this gritty psychic landscape is revealed to the reader penetrate various scenes of troubled family life, poverty, violence and racism with a razor-sharp clarity rife with anger, sorrow, and beauty. Ranging in age from childhood to young adulthood, the speakers, or witnesses, in these poems see through eyes that are simultaneously innocent and jaded, naive and urbane, unflinchingly tough and lyrically sensitive. These are unforgettable poems. Like good blues, they cut right down to the bone.

Unblinking portrait of a childhood in the Jim Crow South
    Format: Paperback
Komunyakaa, who won the Pulitzer Prize for his Neon Vernacular, here writes about his childhood in a Louisiana town. The poems are poignant but unsentimental: the child's world has a certain kind of innocence but is saturated with violence, from the Klan to his father's abuse of his mother to the pragmatic violence of slaughtering a hog. One of the more exciting elements of this book is Komunyakaa's skill in combining realistic description with startling and even puzzlingly abstract language.

If you have sensitive skin and dont want premium prices, Cremo’s body wash is an excellent option A+
Scent: Palo Santo, Size: 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), Scent: Palo Santo, Size: 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Cremo’s body wash for men has become a staple in our household. The product exudes a luxurious feel, from the rich lather to the clean, long-lasting scent that genuinely resembles a more expensive fragrance. This body wash possesses a pleasant aroma of cardamom, papyrus, and most notably, palo santo. It features a warm, woody, and spicy scent, which is one of my preferred fragrance notes. Notably, the scent is strong without being overpowering. Additionally, I appreciate the aesthetic appeal of the bottle. The exquisite and vintage-inspired packaging complements the fragrance effectively. What truly sets Cremo’s body wash apart is its gentle nature. I have sensitive skin and this body wash does not cause dryness or irritation. In fact, it leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth, which is not always the case with other brands I have tried. The affordability of Cremo’s body wash is a significant advantage. It offers a high-end feel and fragrance without incurring excessive costs, making it an easy choice for repeat purchases. If you or your family have sensitive skin or simply desire a pleasant scent without paying premium prices, Cremo’s body wash is an excellent option. Highly Recommended. 5/5 Stars.
