Critical Autoflower is an extremely low maintenance, easy to grow strain that is a beast producer. Very reliable outdoors due to her high plant resistance factors. Easily one of the biggest producing autos on the market today and a solid performer.

This cultivar is Spain's most popular and productive strain and as her resin profile is prolific, making her a great strain for hash makers and extractors. Well known for her monster harvests, perfume sweet, fruity terpene profile and easy to grow nature.

She performs like no other autoflowering strain when in terms of production indoors as well as outdoors. A must-have for commercial growers and those searching for an easy to grow, low maintenance autoflowering hybrid.

Now you can grow the enormous producer, Critical as an autoflower all year long!

Growing

We crossed our best Ruderalis male with a cup winning Critical. The result is an autoflowering strain that will take 10-12 weeks from seed until harvest.

This Critical has all the confectionary sweet flavors and a high resistance to colder climates. You can expect massive yields from the photoperiod version of Critical.

We were able to create a short, low profile hybrid that is perfect for balcony grows and terraces. Now you can grow Spain’s most loved variety all year around with overly impressive results, both indoors and outdoors.

Indoor
This lady will grow with a short and stocky profile that is reminiscent of indica Cannabis. A fantastic strain for growing in a Sea of Green where discretion is required.

Intermodal spacing will be small and there is no need to worry about Auto Critical stretching much once flowering commences. She will produce big and chunky buds and will become full from top to bottom with high-grade buds.

Outdoor
Critical Autoflower is an excellent performer in all climates, and will absolutely thrive in hot weather such as California.

From seed until harvest, most plants will be ready within 70-84 days. We advise planting this cultivar from June until the end of October for the best results.

Keep the plants South-facing also to ensure they receive the most amount of sun possible and mature with giant buds.

Fungal resistance

One of the very best things about this lady is how resistant she is to mold, meaning that you don’t need to worry as she packs on the weight during flowering. An exceptional candidate for growers who experience heavy winds and challenging climates.

Flowering time

Indoor
Under HID lighting, expect plants to finish between 70-84 days, with larger producing phenotypes demanding the longest. We recommend keeping the Critical Autoflower growing for their entire lifecycle under 12 or 18 hours of lighting.

Outdoor
Thanks to her fast autoflowering capabilities, she can be harvested multiple times per year, meaning even first time growers can produce bountiful harvest perpetually.

Growers who live in a hot Mediterranean climate can plant from March until December. Those who experience challenging weather will get the best results when planting outdoors from June until the end of August.

Yield

Indoor
For such a fast flowering auto, Critical Autoflower sure can pack on the pounds. A must-have for commercial growers as this cultivar is capable of yielding 425 g/m² (1.4 oz per square foot).

Outdoor
An outstanding producer outdoors, that can easily outperform most other autos on the market. Growers can expect yields of 125 grams (4.5 oz) per plant. For the biggest yields, we recommend planting into a large-sized fabric pot that is 50-100 liters (13-26 gallons).

Plant height & structure

Despite her giant harvests, her final height will be short and will measure around 90-100 cm (35-39 inches) and will produce large-sized buds that have a green and pink tint to them.

Training

We do advise adding support when flowering starts, as the weight of the buds can become heavy. Using a net trellis, tomato cage or bamboo canes work very well.

Smell, taste, and effect

A very enticing terpene profile that is a combination of fresh flowers, savory overtones, with perfume sweet notes. Breaking open a bud will reveal a sweet but earthy aroma that has a slight tropical candy nose.

The flavor is much sweeter and candy like, meaning fans of fruity and tropical flavors will really enjoy Critical autoflowering seeds.

Her effects are upbeat, creative and very sociable. After smoking a joint, her effects are fast acting and will put you into a dreamy state that is a mixture of happy, alert and aware, as well as relaxed and chilled out.

Critical Auto can be enjoyed during all times of the day without any feelings of tiredness, and is recommended for creative individuals, artists, musicians, or those who enjoy getting stuck into a good book. This strain is also well advised for social scenarios and busy working individuals.

Cornford's Plato Cosmology/Timaeus
Format: Paperback
This is an excellent and invaluable reference book for Plato's Timaeus. If you are reading Timaeus you MUST have this book. It contains line-by-line commentary, and also, most valuable, some very helpful illustrations (example: illustration of the human body as Timaeus explained it). I would, however, balance this book with other books that attempt to place Timaeus within the rest of Plato's works. I recommend, for example, Peter Kalkavage's Timaeus. There, he attempts to link Timaeus and Republic.

Plato's dialogue about the physical world
Format: Paperback
The two biggest topics in the Timaeus are astronomy and the elements of bodies, which are constructed using triangles and the tetrahedron, octahedron, icosahedron, and cube. I would like to see a translation of the Timaeus that uses it as a way to introduce all the astronomy that appears in the dialogue. Introducing the astronomy does not mean just talking in words about spheres or the zodiac or the ecliptic, but actually explaining how these were used by astronomers. Cornford has much to say, but to someone who has not learned any Greek astronomy his commentary will be opaque and hard to use. I didn't know the astronomy well enough to readily understand Cornford's explanations. I plan to learn more classical Greek astronomy, perhaps using Evans' , and then read Waterfield's translation of the Timaeus . Before reading this you should have read the Republic and know some classical Greek natural philosophy, mathematics, and astronomy. Although Cornford's commentary makes the dialogue staccato, I am glad for it because I wouldn't otherwise have understood much of what Plato says. The Timaeus and the Parmenides are the two dialogues of Plato that one needs commentary to understand; the Parmenides demands the commentary because so much of what is happening depends on the original language, and the Timaeus demands the commentary because of all the things the reader is supposed to be familiar with. The following is a list of topics I kept while reading the dialogue: theory of Forms 27d-28a, 51a-52a; harmonics 35b-36b; time 37c-38e, 39b-e; vision 45b-46c, 67c-68d; space 52b; surfaces 53c; weight 62d-63e; sound 67a-67c; physiology 70c-79e, 80d-86a; antiperistasis 79e-80c.

Helpful, but Waterfield is better for an intro
Format: Paperback
This is basically a scholarly paragraph-by-paragraph commentary on the Timaeus. It's really good for what it is, but I don't recommend it as your first introduction to the Timaeus -- rather, I recommend Waterfield: http://www.amazon.com/Timaeus-Critias-Oxford-Worlds-Classics-ebook/dp/B006NTMD16 A problem with using Cornford as an introduction is that he comments on everything, and it's hard to figure out what the main themes are. I tried reading Cornford as an intro and gave it up, but once I'd read Waterfield I found Cornford extremely helpful both in elucidating passages further than Waterfield does, and in interpreting passages Waterfield doesn't cover. So if you're looking to learn about the Timaeus, I'd suggest Waterfield first and Cornford second (or Cornford alongside Waterfield).
