Adam’s Needle 3-gallon Potted Plant

Description:
Adam’s Needle is a striking, drought-tolerant perennial plant known for its dramatic, sword-like foliage and tall, creamy white flower spikes. This evergreen plant features long, narrow, spiky leaves that emerge in rosettes, forming a dense, clumping mound. In late spring to early summer, tall flower stalks rise above the foliage, producing clusters of bell-shaped white flowers, which attract pollinators like bees and hummingbirds. Adam’s Needle grows to a height of 2–3 feet with a spread of 3–4 feet, making it an excellent choice for xeriscaping, rock gardens, and as a bold accent in landscape beds. It is a hardy plant, able to withstand dry conditions and cold temperatures.
Hardiness zones: USDA 4–10.

Planting Instructions for Adam’s Needle
Choose the Right Location:
Adam’s Needle thrives in full sun but can tolerate light shade, especially in hotter climates. It prefers well-draining soil, including sandy, rocky, or loamy soils. Ensure the site has good air circulation to prevent moisture-related issues.
Hardiness zones: USDA 4–10.

Prepare the Soil:
If your soil is heavy or clay-based, amend it with sand, gravel, or organic matter to improve drainage. Adam’s Needle thrives in dry to moderately moist conditions, so soil that retains water too long may cause root rot.

Dig the Hole:
Dig a hole that is twice as wide and just as deep as the root ball. This allows room for the roots to expand and ensures good root contact with the surrounding soil.

Planting:
Remove the plant from its container and gently loosen the roots if they are pot-bound.
Place the plant in the hole, making sure the crown (where the leaves meet the roots) is level with the soil surface.
Backfill the hole with soil, firming it gently to eliminate air pockets.

Water Thoroughly:
Water thoroughly after planting to settle the soil and hydrate the roots. Although Adam’s Needle is drought-tolerant once established, keep the soil moist for the first few weeks until the plant settles in.

Mulch:
Apply a light layer of mulch around the base to retain moisture and regulate temperature. Avoid piling mulch against the crown of the plant to prevent rot.

Care Tips for Adam’s Needle
Watering: Water regularly during the first few months after planting to establish deep roots. Once established, Adam’s Needle is highly drought-tolerant and requires little watering.

Fertilizing: This plant is low-maintenance and doesn’t require frequent fertilizing. Apply a slow-release fertilizer in early spring if necessary to support growth.

Pruning: Deadheading spent flowers after blooming helps keep the plant tidy. Cut back any damaged or browned leaves as needed, especially in early spring before new growth begins.

Pest and Disease Resistance: Adam’s Needle is highly resistant to pests and diseases, making it a great choice for low-maintenance landscaping. However, it may occasionally suffer from fungal diseases in overly moist environments, so ensure good drainage.

Adam’s Needle adds architectural interest with its bold, spiky foliage and tall, dramatic flower spikes. It is a perfect choice for xeriscaping, rock gardens, or any landscape needing a tough, low-maintenance, drought-tolerant plant. Whether used as an accent plant or a striking focal point, Adam’s Needle provides year-round visual appeal and seasonal blooms that attract pollinators.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Jillian West and her books!!! I’m so happy I already bought book two and now I have to buy the others for the Assurance Security series!! Not gonna lie Val kind of annoyed me at the beginning but she grew on me!! Her men are chef’s kisses!!! Holt annoys me some but I can let it slide. I already bought part two so I’m going to be reading that in between work phone calls!!!! DON’T TELL MY BOSS 😂😂😂😂

Baby bumps and bodyguards
Format: Kindle
Dark, emotional, and unexpectedly tender, Not Ready is an omegaverse romance that delivers found family feels, fierce protectiveness, and a very pregnant heroine who refuses to break. Vale’s on the run from a stalker, but lands in the arms of three private security alphas, cue the swoony tension, fake marriage twist, and slow-burn heat. It’s a little gritty, a little soft, and a whole lot addictive. If you love protective alphas, high stakes, and heroines with quiet strength, this one’s a must-read.

Strong Omegaverse Comfort and a Attention Grabbing Plot
Format: Kindle
Jillian West never misses when it comes to Omegaverse, and Not Ready is no exception. This story was the perfect blend of cozy comfort and emotional depth while still delivering a strong plot. Vale is such a powerful heroine, she is strong, capable, and determined but I love that she still allows her pack to love and take care of her. It’s that balance of independence and vulnerability that makes her so relatable. The relationship dynamics were amazing: Bishop is steadfast and completely head over heels, Mercy is skeptical but protective in his own way, and Holt is the hesitant one whose slow fall is so satisfying to watch unfold. The romance hits that sweet spot between insta-love and cautious build, keeping me hooked the entire way through. And that ending. Oh my god, the cliffhanger! I need the next book in this duet immediately.
